Ordered for 13 of us for my dads 80th birthday as his favourite meal is fish and chips. Excellent service ready to pick up on time. All meals were enjoyed by everyone, definately our favourite chippy. Well Done and 'Thankyou'.
Food ACE had kebab as something different and was mint so that's why the 5 stars. Food here is bloody great and i bench mark all fish and chip shops against the Barracuda. Her indoors had chips, sausage big portion and hot too, Not been in a while and they had yorkshire fish cakes on sale so I was super impressed
Have been regulars for a couple of chippies lately but over time they have become terrible. From measley, dried, old reheated and expensive portions. So hence, we stopped off on way home for the first time at Barracuda. Ladies were brilliant and the food was first class. The portions were how they should be, first class for taste and portion size. Have no problem paying the increases of food as long as you get the high quality food - at Barracuda you certainly get this and looking forward to becoming a weekly regular treat on the way home from school.
JUST DONT!!!! The food was awful! The fish looked and tasted like it had been caught frozen and then ran over with a steam roller. It was about 1cm thick. It really was shocking. The chips were also cold and don't get me started on the mushy peas! The seemed to be from out of space. They had a strange fluorescent glow to them and tasted of nothing. My partner also vomited after the picked egg. I would never go back there again, compared to ocean blue or the Jolly fryer, Barracuda is in a different league and not a good one. Fish 1/10 chips 3/10 peas 2/10 egg0/10. Service was ok but you don't eat the service. My advice is go to another.
Had a lovely meal from here, all the staff were lovely. I'm from Grimsby so I can be very picky when it comes to fish and chips but I'm very happy to report the Barracuda was up there with the Chippies in Grimsby!Food: 5/5
Sammy was very polite and offered a fantastic service. There was another lady frowning and giving the impression she wasn't pleased a blackie was in there shop but Sammy you were fantastic Thank you.Food: 4/5
Wonderful chips, cod bites and curry sauce. Had the special so if you're on a budget like me this was a dream price. Very tasty, Bayer on the fish was soft so not straight out of the fryer but didn't matter. First rate fast food.

Best fish and chip shop in Mansfield by far. And they’re also decent priced. I would recommend above anyone to go, always fresh
