Today I visited the main Post Office in Barnsley town. As usual the staff were as friendly and helpful as a paper bag in the rain. The female, wearing a waistcoat staging she was there to help, didn’t crack a smile, took my parcel but refused to speak to me until she’s finished with another customer and was generally rude. She also insisted, despite my entering the confirmation on the computer, exactly what my parcel was. And told me I had to tell her, when actually I just have to confirm if it prohibited as per the signs, or not, NOT exactly what is inside. The customer service from this woman is unacceptable and I find the woman, who served me on the self service check out, today at 15:10, unfriendly, hostile and unhelpful. If you don’t like your job, and are not willing to be nice to people; find another job.
