A lot of money for not a lot of food... speaking of the food, not great at best. £7.30 for a large cod and chips, average you may say.. however you need to have the quality and quantity to charge that price. All I can say is that they are not Francine’s of Plymouth. Same price for large cod and chips and you can feed a family of three.
Ok but not as good as it used to be, not bad for price on takeaway, but goes up if you have table service.
Not worth it for the money they are charging. The roe was so thin bulked out with batter. Give this place 4/10

Minute portion for the expensive price... i had chicken curry and chips but was left feeling cheated with a kids size portion at over £6
Food is great value for money, lots of choice across the menu. Prices are very reasonable. Family friendly restaurant, with an 80s diner feel to it in my opinion. What you expect from your local chippy. Would eat here again.
Ate here last night, and all my group of 4 agreed that the fish and chips were the best we had ever had! The batter was perfectly golden and crispy and the fish soft. Chips perfectly cooked too. One suggestion would be for them to stop using sauce sachets and put bottles on the table, both for ease of serving and to reduce plastic.
Being a Northerner I often avoid fish and chips when down south! But and it's a big but Barnys fish and chips were simply wonderful and I have to say the best I have eaten anywhere for some years... Take my advice have the Haddock and let them sweat in the paper for ten minutes before eating... Wow well done Mr B
