Possibly the most miserable person sitting at the till area, who obviously didn’t want to be there. When we enquired about plants we’d seen online for sale there, we got barked at that the person wasn’t selling and that it was winter and plants were hibernating. Very off putting and disappointing. Won’t be back.
The garden centre itself, despite looking a little run down has lots of very reasonably priced plants and everything else you might want, including pots, pond accessories and some harder to find bits and bobs. The Bonanico tropical selection is also very comprehensive. Whilst plants at Bonanico are a little more expensive this is likely due to their rarity and generally plants were healthy and growing well. Will definitely visit again when I'm next in the area
Dark and gloomy, the lady who served us was nice but didn't have any Christmas spirit.
We found Barnby nursery a bit like a jumble sale, you just rumage through to find what you want, pots at every turn and no cafe as stated on the website, the member of staff that was working was very friendly and polite though. Only the disabled toilet was open and had 3 empty bottles of hand soap sitting on the side off the sink and no soap you could use and it wasnt the cleanest. It was a big disappointment
It's a lovely little garden centre. As well as plants, it has so many other useful products on its shelves! It's like a little Aladdin's cave.
Must have visited too early in the season on a Sunday, but cafe is closed and it was a bit dark inside, but there is plenty of selection and bountiful plants!
Garden Centre was OK but cafe is closed permanently as far as we could ascertain
Friendly, lots of lovely pots, good selection of garden tools, seeds and gardening products. Good plants, but especially in the spring.
