Great charity shop. You can always pick something up here and a fantastic charity to support.
your prices are ridiculous i cant believe some of the prices you are asking for used items disgusting! They have stock overfilling the changing room because they cant sell as there asking for stupid amounts of money for items. Its a charity shop you will probably make more money selling at fair prices.
Excellent customer service received from the gentleman that served me in store today. Always a good range of clothes and accessories on offer and an especially great selection of children’s toys. My children always look forward to a visit and to say hello to the staff.
The thing I had mainly been waiting for when the lockdown restrictions eased was the reopening of charity shops - and this one in particular. Its such a great shop with 2 separate rooms, one for ladies and gents fashions and the other for children's clothes, toys and bric-a-brac. Even with the current restrictions it is easy to find what you're looking for because everything is so well organised. It's a bright, clean, safe feeling environment and all of the staff are always very welcoming, polite and helpful. I'm very much looking forward to things getting back to "normal" so that I can browse the well-stocked, tempting racks and shelves at my leisure without feeling guilty about the people patiently waiting outside. Even though that would probably mean that I'd end up spending more money!! All in all, a smashing little shop. There are 8 charity shops within easy walking distance of each other here in Whitley Bay but this one is always my go to favourite. I would just like to thank all of the staff, from management to the selfless volunteers, for making Whitley Bay Barnardos such an enjoyable and worthwhile experience.
I was in here the other day and was so disappointed with the attitude of two members of staff. There was one young man working at the door and an older couple working the tills, and the couple were nothing but horrible to the younger lad, shouting demands at him and telling him off nonstop despite him having perfect customer service skills. I left feeling really upset and wishing I'd said something. In a world where you can be anything, be nice!!! Will not be returning
Fantastic Charity Shop with Amazing Staff Inside
Best charity shop by far on Whitley bay. Though there was a gaggle of kids running it but they did run a tight ship it was clean. Though through the giddyness of them all was very different it was a nice change.
The staff are mostly nice but there is 1 who is a bit short-tempered. Even so - it's a decent shop especially for toys and games. Prices are fine..
Very unfriendly staff who gave me the cold shoulder when I went to donate 5 almost new autobiography books today and told me they had too much stock to be able to take them. This is the 2nd time this has happened so won't be supporting anymore. They obviously don't need donations.
Wonderful store doing brilliantly under extremely challenging times. Great place to donate by shopping or dropping off good stuff and everyone can use the tax thing
