Barking Station is a extremely busy train station that is served by the District, Hammersmith & City, Suffragette and c2c trains. There is lots of passengers interchanging from different lines and platforms and also leaving and entering the station. The ticket hall area is getting a upgrade but currently right now there are not many ticket barriers to use at the ticket barriers you have lots of security due to the fact there is a lot of fare evasion and people pushing through the barriers. There are lifts to the platforms along with slopes to interchanging with different parts of the station. Try to avoid this station especially in the morning and evening rush hours its to much stress to use this station.
Barking Station is a key interchange with Tube, Overground, and C2C services. It's functional but often crowded, with occasional delays. Needs better cleanliness and more seating. The connections are great, but platform congestion can be frustrating.
C2C machines not printing out tickets. 1 counter open and the computer system is clearly rubbish as the lady stared at the screen for 5 minutes waiting for something to happen. She looked like she needed some sleep and clearly didn’t want to there. Station platforms are dirty and look like they belong in some sort of post apocalyptic landscape. Once again the C2C train to show burners is disgustingly filthy.nPeople actually pay for a service, perhaps each ticket needs to come with a tetanus jab.
This needs an improvement, that's for sure. Although it is a good connection for the far of East London since it's totally impractical using the bus if you're on the other side of the city, so taking the underground is the best way to go.nBut a little improvement would be very welcome, the outside of the station just seems abandoned.
Station for London underground and c2c services in zone 4. Very crowded, poorly maintained and no escalators. There are lot of shops bars and restaurants nearby. There are even quick bite eateries in the platforms which are good.
