What an absolute mess of a bank, not enough staff just loads of cash machines. The place looks really grubby and run down. Staff don't wear smart uniforms just blue polo shirts it's so unprofessional compared to Nationwide across the street. Also sent my card to the wrong address!
Very bad customer service. They hire new people, didn’t train them properly. long queues, angry and disappointed Time to change bank!!!
Well I didn’t know Barclays were such climate criminals…
I recently became aware that Barclays Bank was the worst British bank in Europe investing in fossil fuels having invested over $108 billion since the Paris agreement. At cop 26 our prime minister said that we were one minute to midnight in relation to the time left to avert a climate emergency disaster And I understand that a number of major banks announced that they would no longer be investing in fossil fuels. I would strongly urge Barclays Bank to follow the same course For the sake of our children and grandchildren Mike Reed Carmarthen
Poor service, went into the branch to make an appointment to speak to someone - was told face to face meetings are non-existant now and that it would have to be a phonecall. waited a month for the organised phonecall to find the person barclays had booked me in with couldn't do or discuss anything I needed, despite me explaining exactly what I needed the meeting for when it was booked. waste of time.
Waited 45 minutes to be served. Just to pay money in on our business account. Staff rude and unhelpful and letting everyone use the business account desk for general enquiries on normal accounts. Then demanded we use the machine to pay in even though we have been specifically told, and shouted at before for using it as we pay in more than 50 coins in change. Shocking service. Only getting worse.
It’s an absolutely stunning building, and of course not the fault of the local branch staff, but very sad to learn that Barclays STILL invest in Fossil Fuels, despite the climate emergency, doesn’t make sense to me.
Barclays is the biggest financier of fossil fuels in Europe. The bank loaned more money to polluting companies than any of its European competitors last year. Come on Barclays, you don't want to keep your title of the dirtiest bank in Europe do you?
Disappointed to hear that Barclays is one of the major investors in the fossil fuel industry and the worst polluting bank in Europe, a very good reason to avoid.
Now has self service terminals instead of the traditional cashier desk. Although there are only 3 terminals. I think 6 would have been a better choice as there is often a lengthy que to use them.
