Poor service and was told to ring up a number to receive some help although that was a complete fail. Couldn’t speak to anyone other than machine
Very poor service, you're lucky to find a Barclays bank open these days as they want us all to go cashless, I went to the bank to pay in some coins but was told I could'nt as the cashier was closed, it was only 2:30pm one of the bank works thought this was quite funny...I'm now looking for another bank!
Always an excessive queue. Slow staff. Last straw. Have lost me as a customer as I’m now going to start the process of Changing banks. This branch is not fit for purpose.
The staff are magnificent but the bank is the worst dysfunction organisation I have ever come across. There is no way you can contact them on line, all phone calls to the Leicester centre where everything is run take around an hour to be answered. Sorry we are very busy! Today the lovely lady in the Fakenham branch who dealt with my mandate problem for a church account had to leave me sitting next her phone waiting 45 minutes for mandate support to answer. She was on her own dealing with other clients. It transpired after Miss C spoke to them that all the information I had been sent to my home, and instructions I had been given from the mandate team were incorrect. Miss C was able to talk bank-speak to them, but I still had more forms to sign, and the only way I will know when my mandate change requests have worked is when I stop getting computer generated letters asking for more information. Each letter takes 10 days to be answered, but it's better than listening to awful music for 45 minutes. The bank itself has no coherent IT system and no way of communicating or downloading forms except by using the same public unanswered phone line that is given to the public. The Barclays website and online banking, if you can get it, says, 'message service under construction' promised form downloads have been withdrawn and there is no email address. Just ring the phone, it says, that takes anything up to an hour to be answered After 2 hours in the bank Miss C managed to get the form downloaded onto a personal email address, but could not promise that my troubles were ended. She kindly sent a complaint on my behalf which includes £25 paid to my personal account for hardship suffered by the experience. If you live near the bank an hours drive for me then you have nothing to fear from simple things which will be promptly dealt with by this dedicated staff that Barclays do not deserve. Solution DO NOT BANK WITH BARCLAYS .
