Shocking service, being divorced, I only have the children every other weekend. I want to open an account for them with Barclays, but you can’t do that on Saturday morning apparently. You can do it online during the week via video, but the children have to be present so it’s no good. Will just have to close my Barclays account and open elsewhere. Sad indictment of what was once a great bank to deal with. They’re just pushing everything online to maximise profits to the detriment of personal service.
I recently visited the Skipton branch and Paul was extremely helpful & kind. Very happy customer!
Dreadful. No counter service after 2pm. When I went in today I saw only 3 staff in the bank, two with customers and one hiding behind the counter screen which was of course shut. No doubt this bank is intending to close this branch withing the next 12 months
Terrible… I have received a letter saying my brother had passed away when in fact it was my father 2 years ago. The Bank have offered compensation of £50 but to date I have been unable to get through on their telephone lines … Barclays used to be good what has happened to them.
Barcays Bank used to care about their customers. I am positive their staff are deeply upset by the restricted help they are "allowed" to give to customers, many they have known and helped for decades. They have been prohibited to help even older customers like myself and husband who find these new methods of banking difficult to understand. I don't know how to change this. Can anyone offer any suggestions money?
Have met with two staff here this past few weeks and they were more than excellent with the tasks at hand. Thoughtful and caring too.
I called in yesterday with my brother who is 71 years old for him to make a withdrawl from one of his accounts only to find a rather large queue with only one teller working who I might add was very slow, we decided to try one of the machines but not not being computer literate we struggled with it, however we went back to the queue but got fed up of waiting, we didn't see any other staff on duty apart from someone dealing with customers at her desk. Not only is my brother not impressed with the service since refurbishment I'm not either how are people meant to business when no staff are available its appalling I am now trying to persuade to close his accounts and move to another bank.
Although I've seen some 1 stars to the service but my experience is different than them. I found the staff helpful, went there to open the bank account and the service was quick.
Pathetic. Call yesterday to re-arrange some direct debits, but nobody available in branch to do that ! Given a number to ring to make an appointment, so ring that this morning. Constant answerphone - does not even say it's Barclays. Leave several messages and number for them to ring back. No response in over two hours. "Customer" and "service" seem to have been lost.
Absolutely disgraceful opening times. Using the 'pandemic' as an excuse to hardly open there branches. Do they think covid is more prevalent on a Friday now or something!?!? Making life even harder for small business owners. Greedy *ankers
