It is a busy branch I get it, but 1 hour waiting is not acceptable. Why they don't add extra staff to help the customers is beyond me. I must say the floor staff are quite helpful though.

I needed a new PINsentry and the genius i spoke to wrote my sort code and account number on the back of his hand!!!! What kind of data protection/data security procedure is this???? And it never arrived so I had to go in and request it again. Thankfully this time the person i spoke to entered the request on an iPad and i received the device in a few days. On a separate occasion i went in to change my surname and title after getting married. They changed my surname but not my title so I had to visit the South Shields branch to correct it. They had actual counter service and were infinitely more helpful.

Terrible to find that all of the city centre branches have been closed in aid of this monstrosity. My card had stopped working forcing me to withdraw money from this branch. Upon entry met by rude and condescending staff who wouldn't believe my card wasn't working until I proved it to them, even physically blocking me from accessing the 'counter'. Displayed to them that I wasn't an idiot or making it up and was then give a ticket and allowed access to the confusing counter area. Briefly: two terminals, long queue, one terminal being used to train a staff member and count money. Had to wait over twenty minutes to make a withdrawal, good job I had the day off. What made this even more frustrating was the two rude members of staff were now joined by a third and stood talking between themselves about something completely none work related while we were forced to wait for ONE teller. Never returning to this branch again, in fact I'm even considering transferring my balance to another bank in order to avoid that ever having to happen. Luckily for them I can't be bothered to.
