This park has a free car park although small and some potholes,playground for kids and very big field/woods,scenery that includes trees,ducks,lake/stream. Clean and maintained park,volunteers were cleaning the park when we arrived at 1030. It is quite muddy and the grass in some areas are long.

Lot’s variety of trees clean areas nice lake you can walk around birds Dogs access very near to the town shopping areas Playground: Different activities for different ages Picnic area: Nice tables and benches access to enjoy your picnic
Beautiful park, lovely long walk, many dog walkers. Two small obstacles is that cattle at times free roam and out of respect dogs must be kept on a lead. Dodging cow poop and high traffic mud can make it a challenge so bring your wellies or boots in the wetter and sodden weather. Dog poop bins are mainly located in the main park and none in the back field so you will have to carry it some way if you choose to explore. All round this walk gives you a physically challenging workout with hills and dips all over. Highly recommend around sunset as the views can be spectacular. ***** Playground: The play ground features a zip line, swings and play equipment. There is also a football cage that also acts as a basketball court. Dog-friendliness: Encounter many dog walkers 95% are friendly. On the odd occasion the 5% can make it a bit more stressful.
A beautiful and tranquil park with lots of places to walk, rest or play depending on the nature of your visit. A large duck pond can be found more or less in the centre, which is a great place to feed the ducks. There are lots of benches dotted around and a large playground as well as a basketball court / 5 a side pitch. Parking is very limited but free and it's a great place to go to unwind.
Really lovely place for a walk. Wheelchair and pushchair accessable. Short walk took us around 40mins to.go round the paths which included some nice views, a small lake with ducks and a large field with plenty of seats. We stopped for a picnic and spent in total around 2 hours here which is just enough. Really recommend for a short walk with little ones. Nice free car park although a little small so guess it fills up when busy but we arrived at 10am and there was still spaces. Looks like sports clubs work out here and the local highstreet is only a couple roads away so could "althought I didn't" pop to shops if anything was forgotten
Greats for walks, especially along towards the A10. They've added lots of trees to make a mini wooded area, so will see the fruits of this on a few years' time.
Lovely park! Excellent park run on Saturdays! Which takes you full circle ! Lovely in the summer :D
Barclay park is a lovely open space, with good walks, a small lake, where you can picnic, walk your dog, take the kids or grandkids for to enjoy themselves, it as a safe play area, various swings, slides, small zip wire,to suit kids from 2 to early teens, with seating for parents. There is a football cage with basketball hoops. Small carpark. There is a coffee truck that I see on weekends but bare in mind no toilet or cafe facilities. Well worth a visit.
Came here to do the Park run on Saturday morning. It's a lovpark with lot's of variety of habits. There are several paths with lots of benches to rest and relax. The lake is clean and well maintained.
good for 1-2 hours hiking. Really muddy after raining
