Excellent care home, all staff I've encountered have been cheerful, welcoming and caring. The atmosphere is warm and cheerful. Mum has been at Bloomfield for three years and is very well cared for in Memory Lane and is happy there. Staff are approachable if I have any questions.
I recently visited Bloomfield Care Home with my two children, bringing along our guinea pigs for the residents to interact with. It was a pleasant experience. Upon entering, we were greeted with tea, coffee, biscuits, and cake, which was a nice touch. Each wing having its own dedicated kitchen added a homely feel.nnThe staff were friendly and approachable. We spent time with the enrichment team, who were very attentive. They knew all the residents by name and made sure that everyone, whether in the lounge or in their rooms, had the opportunity to participate in activities. It was clear that the staff are dedicated to providing a comfortable and engaging environment for the residents.nnOverall, Bloomfield left a positive impression, and I would recommend it to others
Barchester's primary focus is for its share holders and profit. Don't be fooled by the glossy brochures and apparent quality facilities because the care is sub standard and the staff undervalued on minimum wage and often not with good english. My mother had a terrible experience there over 18 months and died after having to go to hospital. Go for a privately owned not so glossy nursing home, they do care! All the other 5 reviews on this site from first impressions, which they're very good at as, all fur coat and no nickers!
Having recently visited the home, I was struck by the welcoming atmosphere and homely feel. The staff were incredibly friendly and caring, with good rapor with residents.nDuring my visit the residents were engaging in activities, with the activities team who were incredibly enthusiastic and bubbly. Singing, dancing and having great fun together with the residents. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.
An amazing home. I visit friends at the home and they are really happy and well looked after. The staff are very attentive and always smiling.
