I love this place. I always enjoy walking around the Pool and it surroundings. Its so beautiful. There is a tea room that serves food and drinks. There is also a lovely little gift shop. I always have a nice hot chocolate and a piece a cake. I look forward to visit again.Visited onWeekend
Absolutely stunning and remarkable! I can imagine this place in the summer.. very lovely to spend a few hours with an entrance fee of £5 per person not sure about kids. There are different trails and everyone can do it. It’s beautiful!
Nice place for a walk with family, or friends. Dogs friendly. The walk takes about 50min to 1hour. You can sit on the benches and enjoy the sound of nature, you can also take food and drink with you. There is a very nice tea room with tables in and outside, toilets available. Free parking, donation can be made. Entry in May 2022 was £5. I would highly recommend.
Lovely walk around the nature reserve through woodland where the pool could be seen from all sides. Plenty of rustic benches to stop and enjoy the view and the sunshine. We enjoyed coffee and cake from the tearoom which did offer a selection of light meals as well. Good seating area outside with tables, lots if space but we visited mid September, likely very busy at peak season. Enjoyable afternoon.
Lovely little gem of a lake and walks in Wareham. Dorset. The minerals in the water means it changes colour. No swimming allowed. Bathrooms, cafe, ice cream parlour and gift shop on site. £5 for adults, £2.50 for kids. Under 5s are free.
Our party was aged 2 to 65 and every single one of us had a great time. Wonderful walks and a beautiful pool. The 2 year old loved searching for the fairy doors. The cafe was second to none. Good fare and excellent service, looked great inside and out....the cream tea was ace. They were knowledgeable about allergies too. Loos were ok. Shop good. A special mention for the guy at the kiosk where you paid, so friendly and helpful. Car Park fairly big. Roads in and especially out are full of pot holes. We had a very good time.
It’s a verg nice place for a walk and to have a picnic. When you arrive you have a very big parking lot so I think parking shouldn’t be an issue here. When we arrive was Saturday morning and was almost empty. We took our puppy and kitten for a walk and it was quiet for them so was perfect. The entrance fee was 5£ per adult and the pets enter for free! I loved the fact the whole place is pet friendly and your pets can enter in the gift shop, in the cafe and you will plenty of water bowls for them. In the cafe you can sit inside or if you prefer you have 3 different areas outside where you can sit. You will find sandwiches, full English breakfast cost 9£, beverages, soup of the day and other dishes.
It was a lovely walk albeit shorter than we ha anticipated. The view of The Blue Pool is mesmerising. Could sit and chill looking at it for ages. The cafe was lovely with indoor and outdoor seating. The facilities were very good too. Enjoyed looking for all the little fairy doors and Easter themed bunnies and eggs which had been put out for children to find along the way.
Very disappointed. The water was green with no hint of blue - hence only 1 star - the main reason for going was the intense blue. The water didn't look anything like the postcard photos. The wooden seats set around the lake could do with TLC. The nature around is lovely and the staff we spoke to was extremely friendly. We bought ice cream and it was delicious.
A magical experience. Good value at under £14 per adult as it is much more extensive than other Christmas light experiences in the region. It lasts until the end of February so is therefore much quieter than places like Kingston Lacy. Looking forward to exploring further on a daylight visit. Great cafe/ restaurant with a retro feel of the 30s.
