Just recieved my order, this is the mince and dumplings, and calizone pizza. Came stone cold, after phoning up to complain, i was told this is how its been served all day with no complaintes!!! She then expected me to return it myself so they could look at it after payin for delivery. Wot a joke, no appology either. Rest assured we wont be ordering from here again, complete joke....
I've written this review to make others aware of my own experience so they know the substandard customer service of this place. My partner ordered 2 Sunday Dinners and was told by the member of staff that they'd be delivered between 5.30pm-6pm. However, the food still hadn't arrived by 6.15pm so I decided to ring them up and complain and ask to be recompensed in some way but the member of staff was adamant that we couldn't have been told this time as this isn't the restaurants policy to state a time less than 1 hour for delivery, so in effect calling my partner a liar. When I challenged the member of staff with this they just continued to state that all they could do is have us wait for the dinners to turn up and was completely dismissive about this being their mistake and therefore their fault. The level of service and attitude was both appalling and disgraceful and I'll never use this place again.
Visited a couple times now, always excellent, friendly service. Great for Sunday Roast, came quite quickly but was still good quality and taste -hard to fault. Normal menu I was a bit disappointed with the portion size of the calarmi but the crispy pork belly was great. Not the best selection of lagers/ales but a nice pint of what they do have on offer. Reasonably priced. Good atmosphere on a weekend within the establishment. Will be visiting again.
Well, what a fantastic night last night. I had a table of 8 book for my 60th birthday with my brothers from down south and great friends as well. The food was out of this world the service from the young ladies, thank you so much... sorry if we was to loud last night. Had a lovely night. And sorry again, no photos.Food: 5/5
Our regular restaurant to take friends and family over last 20 years. Why? Reliable food, large diverse range of meals and local to us in Jarrow. No hesitation in recommending it. Parking: Parking outside but often full in the evening, really the only small downside. We tend to car share or taxi there.
I went to Bar Blu Bistro twice, it was that good. Food, Service & Location were excellent. Prices reasonable. Going back so see you soon.Food: 5/5
Booked a table for myself my partner and son. The place was empty apart from two people with a young child. We were shoved in the corner at the back of the restaurant. The girls taking our drinks orders and food orders were lovely. Food came out within a matter of minutes of ordering and could tell our carbonaras were microwaved and not freshly made. Ours sons pizza was ok but all of our chips were forgot about so mentioned this to the girl behind the bar so they were brought out when we were nearly finished our meals which were in a little pot containing about 6 chips. For £60 odd we weren’t too impressed and probably won’t be back. Which is a shame as it always used to be lovey.
Went for Sunday dinner and ordered the 3 mest roast. I can definitely recommend here for dinner. The food was gorgeous and hot and the service was great. Hadn't booked a table but only waiting about 10 mins.Food: 5/5
Came here for food and drink 2pm Tuesday afternoon. 3 other tables occupied, almost empty which suited us. However we waited 15 mins for one cocktail and another 5 mins for another. When asked why was told “I had a few things to do” cocktail was weak, could barely taste the coffee, didn’t bother drinking it . Walked out and didn’t bother ordering food. 20 mins for your first drink order in an empty bar? Really?
Took 15 minutes for my wife’s martini expresso and it wasn’t the best, my cocktail came 5 mins after my wife’s and when I asked why have been waiting a while for 2 drinks her response was I had a few things to do bearing in mind the place was dead. I payed my wife’s cocktail which was £8.50 and my wife had 2 sips of it as it was that bad. We said we were not prepared to take the risk waiting for food.
