Very disappointing meal last night. The sauce on my Vesl dish was congealed, the potatoes were burnt to a crisp and the broccoli was overcooked!! Nothing on the menu for Vegans my friend had to make do with a vegetable pizza and she couldn’t have coffee as only had cows milk!! Also it should be pointed out that it’s Xmas and maybe a cracker or candle on the table might have cheered a very dreary evening up a bit. I used to frequent Aldo’s regularly but don’t think I would hurry back. Vegetarian options: None !!
This is our first time at Bar Aldo’s. There was seven of us and so they seated us in the lower room which made it feel more private. Four of us had the Lasagna Al Forno and my wife had the Lobster Ravioli. For dessert we focused on the Banana sticky toffee pudding and the coppa carmello which had luxury Scottish tablet with vanilla fudge and caramel sauce. The whole meal was superb. However the desserts alone would make me go back again. As for the service, he was very friendly and joked with us the whole time. I would highly recommend this place for the atmosphere, the friendly staff and of course the food.
Always have a great meal here. Food is exceptional. Been a while since I sat in but rapidly becoming my go to takeaway place. Very friendly staff, car park just round the corner and they do gluten free option. What’s not to like.
