The site houses support staff and the DR capability for Bank of America plus the remnants of Merrill Lynch. It's a very secure site with no access to the general public, and even employees/contractors can't just wander around anywhere! Some nice features like an onsite canteen, gym, and even a sauna available, probably thanks to the previous Nokia folks.nSo, in summary it's OK; nice aspects but the overbearing security weighs heavy.
I worked here 96-99.. it was Nokia telecommunications then. The square building was the office block and R&D.. the larger part was the factory where we built Base stations for the mobile network. The building joining the other two buildings was the canteen. I wonder what the factory is used for now? Maybe full of servers for Bank of America? The factory had a window running the full length of it, now its cover with metal cladding. Lots of security on the building and only ever a few cars in the parking area ???
My experience has been with the USA bank who has been superb in addressing some issues I had. Very pleasant and helpful staff who ensured that the issues were solved. They called me instead of what I have found locally when you are told to phone the help desk and if you can get through you have to tell them the whole story again
The commute is nice! Office is spacious. Though there's hardly any lunch places nearby
Nearest station Black water if walking on ward , if Taxi then best bet from London is Faranborough Main and under 10 minutes drive.
