Super cool hidden gem!! Friendly staff, good music and inclusive selection of food. Only downsides are the small sitting area so you might not find a seat the place is very tiny and that it's a bit pricey, but considering how cool it is I think it's worth it!
A nice little cafe. Fills very quickly but the ambience is good. Lots of history and politics on the walls. While not for everyone it is so different to the usual fare that it does get and hold ones attention. Staff are friendly and professional. Food is very good. There is an emphasis on healthy food which is great to see. While paying more for certain food types it is on balance worth the extra euro or two. A nice cultural touch is the movie quotes on the mugs for sale. Well worth a visit.
Had a really disappointing experience in Bang Bang this afternoon. While waiting for our sandwiches in what was a chaotic atmosphere, a woman walked in with 2 dog excrement bags in her hands, proceeded to fill an egg tray and then when paying had the bags on the counter top. This absolutely turned my stomach and I couldn’t eat my sandwich. Also in my boyfriends sandwich there was material that looked to be from a knitted jumper in our sandwiches. Very disappointing as I used to love this spot.
Excellent spot. Great food, nice staff and really good curation on Irish art. Would recommend to anyone. Particularly if you’re a fan of the Barrytown Trilogy!
What a great cafe! Had a nice oat milk coffee and VLT sandwich. Friendly staff, cosy place, good politics
Love this place so much. So many tasty options, and always a delicious vegan option. The staff are super too!
As I ventured away from Dublin’s touristy city-centre, pubs and casinos, I came across this lovely café/neighborhood community hangout. Nestled into a quiet residential area, they offer a good small selection of sandwiches, cakes, breakfast food, hot and cold drinks. In addition to the kitchen, there a two cupboards and a fridge full of foodie items. There are also some local football related things available to purchase and I saw a music compilation LP as well. The breakfast burger looked the best to me. So I ordered that, with extra black pudding and sourdough bread instead of the popular brioche bun, plus a cup of tea. It was delicious and while I was sitting at the window, skimming through a book about the history of Irish pubs they have lots of books to read, I realized that breakfast must indeed be the most important meal in Ireland. During my very short trip I was much more interested in all the brunch and breakfast places in town than the pubs, there are just so many good spots in town. Bang Bang might be less central than where you plan on going to on a visit to Dublin. However it’s worth stopping by to get a feel of something local and original. It’s also kind of on the way to the Botanical Gardens by bus.
Absolutely love this place. The brunch burger is unreal, we always get sausage and black pudding added. They do a lovely coffee too. Most of their produce is sourced locally and their packaging is biodegradable. They always seem to be raising funds for different charities too and there is always a friendly vibe there. What's not to like a about this place.
I had the white pudding bap & other half had the sausage sandwich. Both we beautiful. Cute little spot with nice coffee too! Certainly worth a visit.
Great little local coffee spot with actual character which is pretty rare nowadays... Skip the next Starbucks next time and come here if you can, you won’t regret it
