Friendly staff, great food and even better value for money. Popped into Bang with my two sons to brunch. Hadn't realised it was best to book. But, that was no problem as the staff managed to find us a reserved table that wasn't in use for 90 minutes. Our menus were handed over to us and we decided on what we wanted to eat and drink. 2 lots of buttermilk pancakes with dry cured bacon and maple syrup plus a full English breakfast using local produce.To drink we had a latte, mocha and a bottle of water. The food arrived after around 15 minutes and it looked amazing! There were at least 5 buttermilk pancakes each stack. They were beautifully light and fluffy and the bacon was well cooked. The full English came with sausage, tomato, mushrooms, bacon, eggs how you like them, baked beans and granary toast + butter. I think we all agreed that the food was really good and would definitely come here again when we're next in Wells-next-to-the-Sea. Total amount for our food and drink was just over £37 which is pretty darn good to be honest. I would certainly recommend coming here for food and advise to book ahead.
Thoughtful menu and drinks list. Nice to see local beer and cider alongside the imaginative cooking. I loved my smoked haddock chowder and the pork chop went down well too. Busy when we arrived for lunch but we got a high table in the middle of the room. This is a well organised set up with lovely fresh flowers on the table. Friendly, if restrained team and a discernible Manager with their hand on the tiller. I would return.
Great place. Good food and very friendly service. We wanted a light lunch and enjoyed a fish finger sandwich, 6 fish fingers, on fresh granary bread with a little side salad. Lovely cup of builders tea. Cosy atmosphere with the log burner fired up.Food: 5/5
We had the fresh soup and was amazing, leek & butter bean topped with Krispy kale and bacon. Delicious. The log burner kept us warm, nice atmospheric music and a decaf coffee with oat milk was the best we've had for a long time. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access from street.
My partner and I were very fortunate to have had a 2 night stay with bang in wells whilst in town to work for a wedding. The welcome team was great, the service was awesome and the room was extremely cosy! Dinner & Breakfast was 10/10! Do yourself a favour, stay here if you’re in the area

Had lunch here, service was good. The pork chop with bean cassoulet was excellent, very smoky and tasty. The noodles in a miso/tahini broth were a bit too rich and salty - it needed something to break up the strong tastes. Good food and cooked well, just a bit heavy.

Great Chowder, really well cooked and generous portions, dog friendly which is always great, skin on potato wedges with sour cream and hot sauce was lovely, staff super friendly and a relaxed no rush to get you out the door, highly recommend.
