A car park - but not as advertised. I specifically went on the website to find if I could pay for a ticket using cash. I know - how old fashioned... It said cash or app was accepted. When we got there, we could only pay for a ticket by downloading the Ringo app - there was no cash payment option after all. There seemed to be one if you're purchasing a train ticket in the station for an onward journey - but certainly nothing was available in the carpark itself.
There are usually spaces available, not very pricey. Great to park and commune to London from there.
As others have mentioned, the new multi storey car park at Banbury Station is extremely convinient with lots of spaces but also a bit on the pricey side. Has lifts linking to all floors as well as disabled spacing and ticket machine for both parking and trains.nnIt's directly next to the station, linked by a footbridge and the top view offers a decent view of the station.
Extremely dark & no staff around to help in the evenings. Last night was told to leave the carpark with a disabled 6yr old being told it was closed or in his words 'do you see any cars? silly girl!' As there was no lighting I'd parked across the rd to walk & have a look before driving in. We were then told the police were coming which absolutely terrified my boy. I left then as the attendant was getting quite angry & sarcastic, I wonder if he'd of spoke to a male the same!!!
Brand new station car park. Car spaces are good size. Very clean and illuminated with lifts and easy access to the platforms.
