Story

Baltzersen's is a Scandinavian inspired cafe based in the pretty spa town of Harrogate.

Opened in Oct 12, Baltzersen's fills a gap in the market amongst existing coffee shops for a place that manages to combine great coffee, fresh food, refreshing design and friendly service.

The Scandinavian influence comes from owner Paul's grandma who was Norwegian and it runs through the spine of a menu offering sandwiches, waffles and fantastic pastries and cakes - all made on-site from scratch.

Harrogate has many cafes to offer and Baltzersen's should be near the top of your list for breakfast, lunch or just coffee and a cake.

Great food, friendly staff and excellent Scandi decor inside. The food was exceptional as was the coffee. All the waitresses and servers there were very warm & welcoming. Did have to queue but was worth the wait.
Fantastic bakery items and hot drinks. Breakfast menu less vast than before I wanted meat and waffles! But social distancing very well observed and items available were excellent. TRY THE CRUFFIN.
Not only the best café in Harrogate but one of the best in Yorkshire. Paul and the team are wonderful, leaving no detail to chance and providing a great experience to all guests.
Stayed in Harrogate for two nights, came across this place and had breakfast sat outside the first morning, it was so good we returned the next day too to try something else. Popular place as people were queuing up outside for tables.
Great place for breakfast/brunch. It was open early and had lots of choice. It's a little more expensive than some places, but very good quality
Amazing place! Breakfast and lunch are incredible! The bread is some of the best I've had. The coffee is fantastic, they also sell the whole beans if you want to get the same results at home. It's also brilliant to see how the team there has adapted their business to meet the needs of social distancing, well done!
Amazing coffee shop. Great service with amazing cakes and waffles to try. Coffee is so tasty and there is lots of choice. Would highly recommend this place.
Brilliant coffee shop in central Harrogate. Great coffee and wonderful, unusual food from the Scandinavian tradition. Friendly, helpful staff but they do get very busy, so you may have to be content with a take away.
