Came in for a meal with my partner while kids in school, was very quiet but we did go when it first opened at 12pm, although this was a good thing as every other Indian I could find opened from 430pm onwards which is no good for us. The food was very nice especially the chicken samosas and the tandoori chicken. The lady waiting on us was very nice and polite, even offered us a few recommendations. Only thing I would say is it could do with a fresh paint. The bill was also a few quid higher than I'd worked out.
Awful place, I went here earlier on and ordered a vegetable korma, they brung me prawn I told them I was a vegetarian and that they'd got the order wrong and they brung it me back with added vegetables. There was still a few prawns in there! The coconut rice had never seen a coconut in it's life. The poppadoms were stale and I had to ask for a glass of water more than once after the flat coke they provided was discusting. The wine also tasted like it was watered down. I do not recommend this place in the slightest and I'm tempted to get in touch with trading standards about the discusting service they gave today.
As far as Indian food in the UK is concerned, this is one of the worst I have been to. I ordered the Chef’s special Sim Sim Balti, which was chicken pieces and lamb mince in mild sauce. The meat looked like simple processed meat chunks and the flavour.. I don’t know what I would describe it as. Rice was soggy and did not taste fresh. I would stay clear of this restaurant.
WOW WOW WOW Please support this restaurant in these hard times. We normally use this restaurant but was told today they where only doing takeaways and delivery’s but as always a great meal. We where not disappoint. If you looking for great food at a great price this is the place to go.
Hello all I'm a three year regular customer . I am seem last 1 months the service is very poor . Ordered nan bread last time very worst. Delivery time takes more than before .1hr 25mins. Cashier women not giving information properly to new delivery driver tony. Worst service @Balti King. Next time happened I am never ordered on your restaurant I won't remove review
Very late to writing a review, me and my partner had a baby in hospital for a while, and whenever we wanted to “go out” to get something to eat we would always come here… even on our own sometimes lol! Food was best I’ve tried in a long time, and made us feel so welcome in such tough times, manager was a lovely down to earth woman, it was nice and clean. Loved it, our intention is to go back here again very soon, very welcoming. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options, menu is full of gorgeous food
My boyfriend and I came before our walk to the botanical gardens and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff so kind and the food was delicious. Both the prices and portions were great, we weren’t disappointed. I unfortunately managed to get some curry on my white dress and was so concerned it’d stain so I asked for a wet napkin but the lady went as far as getting stain remover and helping me get rid of the stain- there is no mark whatsoever! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the time flew by and the owner made it such a pleasant experience too. Thank you.
Lovely curry and great service. My partner and I was met straight at the door by the owner who was very polite and welcoming. He seated us quick and took our order without delay along with the drinks which was brought over quickly. Once the food arrived, it was so tasty and well made. The atmosphere was relaxed and the restaurant wasn’t very busy which was nice for both of us as we didn’t have to shout. I would recommend for dates and group bookings.
What a shame really gone downhill… terrible starters terrible main course.. totally bland food"… other half left most of the starter.. couldn’t eat the main course at all". We did tell them politely.. they did exchange the starter.. still not good.. they agreed the main course wasn’t as good as normal".. went to pay.. and they just knocked £8 off…!!! Was so embarrassed just walked out.". We will never go back there again.. total rip-off".. Think the writings on the wall for this place… they should be ashamed of themselves…
Fabulous lunchtime meal at this Sheffield institution. Last visited as a student 26 years ago and every bit as good as I remembered. The onion bhaji starter was amazing, freshly cooked to order and served with mixed salad. Thank you so much for accommodating our tiny dog as well!
