I got my Indian food delivered about 10 minutes ago, I've had two mouthfuls and refuse to eat any more, my kurma tasted like water and I highly doubt there was any coconut in my rice either, beyond awful, would never EVER order from here again, I've never made a single complaint about any food I've eaten before, whether it be in a restaurant or delivered to my home, but I've gone out of my way to write this review because of how annoyed/disappointed I am with the food I've received, I can tell no care was put in to how my meal was put together apart from the sag paneer spinach with cheese which was just average. My treat has turned out to be nothing but a waste of money, thank you Balti Delight.
BEWARE this has changed its name to CLASSIC SPICE on the Bridge at Frome - nothing else has changed though! A real life version of Fawlty Towers! First visit there was no chef or waiters on duty, a chap in tee-shirt and jeans tried to raise someone to serve us, without success, so we left. Second visit, explained our problems to the owner, who apologised and said the chef had taken three days unscheduled leave, and the staff had been sacked.We ordered a takeaway, waited with two expensive drinks while it was cooked. Got home and discovered an inedible sheekh kebab - two small pieces of minced meat in oily onions. Opened the main meal and discovered the wrong order. Phoned the owner who promised to admonish the chef don't know if it was the same one and send around a fresh order. The fresh order arrived - same as the previous one! Consigned both to the bin and gave up. Have a look at other customers reviews, they thought it was sub-standard too, and very expensive.
Went here last night, should have turned round and left as soon as we saw the place was empty. Now under new management, owner was polite and gave a warm welcome. Unfortunately that is were the compliments stop, I ordered a chilli chicken masala, and can say without doubt the worst curry I have ever had. I dont know what the chef produced but it certainly wasnt what I ordered, no taste of cocunut, no hint of flavour that it was a masala dish. Meal was extortionately expensive for Frome. I asked the chef about the meal, he made some comment about it being his own recipe.....do not waste your money at this establishment, I can see now why it was empty and 9pm on a friday night.
