Another breathtaking pilgrimage to Balmaha. Super walks for all levels with the most welcome reward of excellent menu and outstanding coffee at the Oak Tree cafe and restaurant... love it! Easy parking too.
What a magical place. They've done a great job with path up to Conic Hill, very impressive , that goes for the views too. The beaches were beautiful, as with anywhere we spend time , we did some litter picking , looking for stones with letters, enjoying fresh air and nature. In my top 5 places in Scotland.
It's a nice highway and great place to drive. It's near the National Park and has great views on both sides. Really worth a drive and not too far from galsgow. Drive safe.
Staying at Milarrochy Caravan Park we walked towards Balmaha on the road first and then the shoreline of Loch Lomond. Starting at the car park and ranger station of the national park, it's a 30min walk through the woods to the village. Note it is not a great path and not for all see pictures. There is a National Park information centre, pub, coffee shop & ice cream parlour in Balmaha. A great way to spend a few hours. Highly Recommend.
A hidden path to take a trip across, grants access to some of the beaches. You'll find some great views walking across here and see a little bit of nature on top of it. Worth having a walk here if you have the time.
