We have just had a lovely two day break staying at the Balcary House Hotel. We arrived to be greeted by Mr & Mrs Watson who were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay a delight. The hotel sits in lovely gardens and is close to the town centre and has been decorated beautifully and we found everything that we could have wanted. The food we had was of a good standard and served to us by pleasant and helpful staff. Thank you for a brilliant weekend and we will certainly be returning.

I literally had the feeling that I could not ask too much of the staff, all were fantastically attentive. We had nothing but welcome and hospitality on our visit to the Borders, Balcary House was at the top of our wonderful experiences. A Grand House of a time long gone, lovingly restored.

A beautifully presented hotel in the boarders. This is a preferred hotel on my company's hotel list. Normally that means you get a Travelodge or a Premier Inn, Balcary House Hotel is certainly not of that kin. Clean, spacious and staffed by friendly helpful staff. I would pay (myself) to stay here again.

Very friendly helpful staff. Was at the hotel on one of the worst days of the year. The Beast From the East! !!

Lovely place, beautiful old house which has been restored to high standard. Welcoming and afternoon tea was very nice
