first of all my friend ordered only cheesy chips as she is a pescatarian and they gave her gravy. i then ordered gravy and chips and someone’s black short wirery hair was on one of the best chips in the pot. i am saddened by this trip to the bakers oven. we will not be returning
A breakfast/lunchtime favourite for our staff, one of them basically lives off their Chicken Curry! Nice fresh food at very reasonable prices.
Wonderful staff so friendly and gave us good options as it was our first time from India. Enjoyed the food and cakes. Delicious and will surely enjoy again on our next visit to Sunderland.
Without a doubt best bakery in Sunderland Sunderland, i had a sausage cassere stottie that was just straight up amazing! They did have chicken wrapped in what i can only recognise as a Yorkshire pubbing it was 12/10 with a heap of gravy. From there chips to their bread to their sauces absolutely amazing! If you're in Sunderland you NEED to try this place
Great Satff super friendly always packed at dinner time so can queue for a while so keep in mind great selection of food and sandwiches and cakes as well can't fault all fresh.
Portion sizes have reduced drastically recently. Carton of chips and curry only half full for £3.20
Visit here often with working in the city centre. Food is lovely & the staff are really canny. Highly recommend
Possibly some of the best chips and gravy I've ever had, the perfect portion, the gravy reached down to every chip unlike some places where the bottom layer of chips are devoid of any gravy And controversially I get cheese on my chips and gravy and usually there's the secondary issue of the cheese only being on the top layer of chips at most chippys but here again it managed to be spread to every single chip perfectly, finished off the lot very quickly, fantastic value for money, gravy is amazing and even going past the shop is a treat as it smells fantastic as you go by
Spot on place always come here for my dinner in sunderland would highly recommend
Got curry and chips and mince and dumplings to take home. Still red hot 20 min later and can't be robbed at the price.
