Authentic cafe with a friendly bustle, offering tasty coffees, pastries, cakes and other goodies for the brunch loving crowd. A dish they called Breakfast Toast seemed to sit on every table, a concoction of bread, egg, cinnamon and sugar (French toast?) that appeared to be be baked in on of the array of bakers ovens. Each adorned with bacon or something similar. Friendly staff, who enjoyed each others company (I am certain I heard one whisper to the other 'I love you!', although she could have been referring to the chocolate muffin she was putting in a box.) Expect a wait at busy times, but definitely worth a visit.

I’d previously been with family for coffee and cake, which were lovely (family included). This time I went for brunch. As always, the staff were very friendly. The place was packed so I expected a long wait for food, but it arrived pretty quickly and was really tasty - baked eggs on tomatoes, peppers and broad beans. The peppers were really well baked, which is rare. I was sat at the bar by the kitchen. There was a new assistant chef who was being pushed by the chef, but she coped really well. Yes the food is on the pricey side, but the quality was very good and I would gladly go back.

Had smashed avo & poached eggs on sourdough, a good portion and tasted great. The waitress kindly offered to explain what each of the cakes on offer were. I went for the Zucchini & blueberry cake which was yummy, and not at all dry like some cakes can be when they’ve been on display. The only downside was the size of my latte, it was tiny and I drank it almost instantly.

Great coffee and pastries. I can't speak to the hot food but it's highly thought of. Often quite busy, but the bench seats outside under an awning are great.

One of the best places to have breakfast in Bristol Always an imaginative menu, very good coffee and friendly, helpful service. Popular, so best to book or go early.
