I love this chippy in Weybridge, I am so picky when it comes to fresh chips but their chips is so perfectly done and their portions are generous. The fish is also sooo tasty. They seem to have made some great improvements lately as the food is consistent now and they don't charge the 50p for card payments anymore. I found the staff to be very polite and friendly during our last visit on Saturday.
Not good at all - Ordered Fish, Chips and Battered Sausage from here a week ago. Service was very slow and it took more than 20 minutes for no apparent reason. When we opened the box at home, the fish was non existent and the batter was thick and greasy on both the fish and sausage and we all felt quite sick after a couple of bites. The chips looked like the scraps left over at the end of the session, but it was 1.15 during the lunch period so surely they should be fresh?. Needless to say, everything was inedible and went straight in the bin. We have visited the Cobham branch on several occasions and the food has always been perfectly fine. The experience we had in Weybridge for both food and service was dreadful and we will not be returning I am afraid....
We had 2 Cod & chips yesterday lunch time ...my husband enquired how the business was going and the reply was ......Yes Initially very good however it’s tailed off! Might I offer why ...the fish batter was very greasy and the chips appeared old and shrivelled. Although we were hungry after a few bites we discarded the lot! I write this for the owners as you have seemingly invested much in this new business we used to frequent Frankies and one should take note..when there are similar complaints ...we really wish you success and will probably try once more only!
Had stake and kidney pie's the meat inside was so dry you had a job to swallow it. the base of the pastry was so hard I could not cut it also had 3 battered sausages but they tasted really odd the chips were ok all in all not good
Tonight I tried this for the first time. Ordered 2 large haddock, 1 large and 1 small chips and 2 mushy peas. My friend and I were the only ones in so no pressure their end. Everything was boxed beautifully for us to take away. When I confirmed our order as I picked up the boxes the staff member assured me it was all there. Got home and there was only one large haddock and not the two that I had purchased. I tried phoning the only number I could find and dialling 2 for Weybridge and bearing in mind it was practically empty tonight, nobody picked up the phone despite an automated voice telling me my call will be answered shortly. So this is the only way I can communicate with them but it’s a slow process and I would like the other large haddock please another time.
Had delicious deep fried haddock with twice fried crispy chips, which were free as it was their Tuesday special. Will be back for more. Tastiest fish and chips by far in Weybridge
Just been into weybridge baked and battered. after last Saturday excellent food looking forward to another nice meal to take home. Walked out as 2 of the staff were screaming and shouting at each other arguing really bad.kind of put me off going back in there looks like curry tonight. Hi guys went back yesterday so thought I'd go different so had steak and kidney pie and steak and ale pie well folks you will be in pie heaven seriously pie heaven been a long time since I had pies like that unless they cooked at home. Fandabaloso
Thank Goodness an excellent Fish place at last! we regularly have Haddock and Roc with chips, its Excellent, and the Tartar sauce tastes home made, really of Gherkiney....totally recommend it, we are having it tonight!!!
If I could give Zero stars I most certainly would. The food is not up to scratch chips were very dry, fish batter also very dry AND worryingly the staff do not listen to your order. When it was served wrong, they were RUDE, ARROGANT and somewhat TRICKY. The Blonde girl that served me also referred to me as "Mate" Nice touch All that was missing was the chewing gum! If you want my humble advice, living in Weybridge for 18 years, The Golden Plaice chip shop is head and shoulders above this outfit. It was closed today, hence gave Baked And Battered at try I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING
Great to have Baked and Battered in Weybridge. Enjoyed the cod & chips, fish was excellent but chips a bit stale, maybe from earlier they day. Otherwise great place with friendly staff.
