The best bakery in the county of Rutland

I am really disappointed. 

I was expecting something really special after hearing about this place, but instead got dry fruit cake that crumbled to pieces (i prefer it rich and gooey, not dry and chalky), i should have known from the look of it to be honest, it was a dull brown rather than shiny sticky looking, but i thought id give it a go. What a waste of money, chucked it away after 1 mouthful. It was a tad expensive too (£1.50). Local lunchtime sarnie vans homemade cake is much better and only £1.20.

The cherry bakewell i also purchased was also very dry and not to my liking, wrong balance of icing/filling. 70p ea too so not cheap.

Perhaps the baker had a bad day, i dont know, but i wont be going back anytime soon.

I suppose that Uppingham's postal address is Oakham but I think it is stretching things a bit to have this Cafe come up on Google maps when I put in Cafe Oakham
