Really lovely Tea House. Beautifully decorated, with a really nice garden out the back. The hot food is really tasty - simple fresh ingredients really well cooked. The cakes and scones are the best around, and there's a great tea selection. Definitely pop in if you are in the area - it's the best place in town.
Really lovely tea house in amazing 500 year old building. The food and the cakes we're delicious and the tea and coffee was great too! We didn't have afternoon tea, but saw others that ordered and it looked really lovely. The staff was really friendly and attentive, family run. The interiors and the decorations are really nice and there is a lovely garden at the back. Would recommend anyone who's in the area to visit this place!
Badgers Teahouse! Wow! What a lovely, cosy little tea room! The food is simply delicious, homemade and nicely served! The homemade soup is wonderful and so tasty! Excellent, kind staff. Wonderful place for a "battery recharge" from walking around this lovely village! Nice seating outside! 10 out of 10 guys! You won't be disappointed! Perfect!
Ended up coming here based on a recommendation and did not regret it one bit. Unfortunately they didn't have the cream tea that I ventured there for, but their Victoria sponge and flapjack were very worthy replacements. The five stars isn't just for the great tea or the cake, but more for the warm welcome and feeling during the visit, the lovely garden area and the friendly conversation from the recent owners. If you're in Alfriston or you're passing through, make sure to make a stop here. I'm sure you'll be writing a review of your own like this.
Visited with two friends from Thailand who wanted the ‘English’ tearoom experience. Well they got it in spades, starting with bone china tea sets, toasted tea cakes and scones with clotted cream. The staff also played their role and were wonderful and attentive. This is a great tearoom and should not be missed when visiting Alfriston.
What a gem! Everything about this lovely old establishment impressed me and it’s a credit to the owners and their staff. Superb home made cakes and scones and a lovely room or garden to enjoy them in. Hope to drop in again some day
Had a lovely time at Badgers Teahouse,as always their cake was delicious one of the best sponge cakes I've had. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. You must visit if you go to Alfriston
What a gem of a lovely tea shop we found in Alfriston! From the beautiful china teaset and silver teapots to the charming trog filled with scones, cream & jam our Australian grand daughter and her boyfriend were blown away at this wonderful place and so we're we! We'll be back!!

Loved this Teahouse beautiful crockery and cutlery. The cakes are amazing and the staff are very helpful and friendly, shall definitely visit again. Great coffee too.
