Just had 4 fabulous nights here. Only an hour from home but definitely felt like we were in the Back of Beyond. So quiet and relaxing. Everything we needed on site that we didn't need to leave for the whole time. Lovely shop for essentials, nice bar for an evening drink or to sit and eat food bought from one of the visiting food vans. The most dog friendly site we've been to. Our 2 pooches were beyond happy having acres of woodland to explore everyday. Pitches were large and tidy and the shower /toilet facilities were clean and well kept. This is definitely a site that will be on our favourites list!
This is a brilliant campsite and caravan park, in unspoilt countryside. Accessible via the A31. Very friendly staff and pristine clean and serviced facilities. Very welcoming to pets with outdoor walking areas. Yet not overrun with noisy animals. The pitches are generous and accomodating. Monty's Bar is brilliant and there are a range of caterers and vans coming in most evenings. Fresh pastries in the shop and you can get the basics of what you need. There is also a big range of local produce such as beers, conserve etc Everything you need for a quiet, peaceful break is here. Definitely five * rating.
We booked for 5 days and enjoyed this camping site so much that we extended our stay for another 3 days. The pitches are huge compared to some other camps. The toilets and showers are spotlessly clean so thank you to the cleaners for your hard work. The open air bar is a fantastic place to meet like minded people. They are open from approx 4 - 8pm which is enough to meet people, have a couple of beers and unwind. The early closing stops the drunken and loud walk back to tents and motorhomes that we have experienced from other campers on other sites. We met so many wonderful people and our two dogs love the massive dog walking area. The staff everywhere where brilliant. We will be regular visitors to this camp. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely two night stay in the yurt. We were met by Toby who was very welcoming and helpful. The yurt is very spacious with a lovely terrace area which we enjoyed cooking on both nights. The campsite was very clean and the toilet and showering facilities were great. The only fault we could find was that some of the items included in the yurt could do with a little maintenance/replacement. We did report the parasol was broken it wasn’t replaced and a few other items were also missing or broken. Would recommend :-
Really nice campsite. Lovely bar area and food stalls most evenings. Quiet and beautiful woodland area to walk dogs. Shower and toilet areas clean but not the best we have been to. Pot washing area needs updating Due to the area of the site we had to drive and explore Dorset as we like to walk which was not possible from this site however if you enjoy sitting and relaxing this site is perfect. Oh and no children but lots of small, yapping dogs! We have dogs and wake early but felt sorry for people who like a lay in!
Just got back home after 3 lovely weeks at Back of Beyond. Couldn't fault the place, showers/wet rooms were lovely and kept spotless, nice big pitches. All the staff were friendly and helpful and Monty's bar was a huge bonus, the Aperol spritz was gorgeous . The food available was really good too. The woodland walks were great for the dog. We will definitely be back
Loved our stay for Christmas and New Year, second year running. The team, brilliantly led by Martin and Vicki, with fabulous support from Mick, Kathleen, Malcom and the boys. All are so welcoming, we love catching up with familiar faces and making new friends and restocking our supplies of yummy honey. Such a lovely campsite, quiet and dog friendly, visiting eateries and on-site bar called Monty’s, spacious pitches and beautiful grounds! No wonder it’s our favourite.
BoB. what a great touring site, from the met and greet by the staff, to the clean facilities. Monty's bar was a great place to meet other campers and make new friends and the prices where very reasonable, the food trucks each night could mean we did not have to cook if we didn't want to. We will be visiting again next year at some point so look forward to seeing you all again.
What a wonderful place. All the facilities were spotlessly clean, the wood to let your dog off lead was great. Our pitch was huge & the bar to have an early evening drink was lovely. Couldn't recommend it highly enough, we will definitely be returning.
An absolute delightful site. Well maintained and clean. Tonight we have a visiting Pizza vendor. He offers quality wood fired Pizza. Other nights there are fish and chip, burgers etc All this saves on the washing up chores!!!and they taste beautiful too. I highly recommend this site.
