Very nice food, friendly staff, good range of dishes. Reasonable price, only negative is its a very warm building with little to no air con, gets a bit hot when busy.
Pro’s - really nice premises, lovely beer garden and great staff. Posh decor, everything well presented with nice little touches. Big portions. Con’s - expensive! The obligatory popadom and dips at the start was charged on the bill. Not something we asked for, it was just placed on the table as if it was complimentary, ended up costing £5. Quality of the food is average, tasty, but Indian food is tasty, wasn’t anything special for the price. I got a paneer masala with veg and there was only 4 cubes of paneer, a few potatoes and peas. My partners chicken was dry. For 2 people, no starter, 2 mains and 2 pints it cost £50.40, for an average curry that’s pretty expensive. There’s likely better Indians in Wigan!
Great restaurant. Was a little bit hectic when we visited and needed to wait 15m despite booking, but they were very busy. Service was lovely and staff were really attentive and friendly. Food was awesome, great veggie options too.
Ate here last night with wife and family I may pay for this today but boy was it good. Chicken madras, special mushroom fried rice and garlic nan after poppadoms and mixed kebab starters washed down with a few pints of IPA. Friendly staff in a clean and pleasant restaurant, highly recommended.Food: 5/5
I have delayed writing this review for a while, as I don't write bad reviews for businesses lightly. However, after taking time to consider, it is well deserved. We had a table booked on July 30th and arrived about 5 minutes early. We were told to go and wait at the bar. Some 30 minutes later, we were still stood there and had been spoken to by nobody. I asked the guy behind the bar if there was an issue and could I speak to someone for an update. He basically just ignored me. We were speaking to another couple who had been waiting longer than us and had also booked a table. They too were getting restless. Why not have a seating area? Why not tell people there will be a wait? My patience went about 15 minutes later, when two other lots of people arrived and were quickly seated, despite having booking times later in the evening. One of the ladies in one of the groups actually apologized to us, the staff did not. When the chap eventually passed by again, I asked if there was a problem with us and was there a reason we were not being seated. The member of staff was incredibly rude and not apologetic in any way. We left without eating and will not be back.
Gorgeous food, friendly staff and great service
Ordered a takeaway from here for the first time. The poppadoms were all broken which was a little disappointing. Starter of onion bhaji was really tasty with a bit of a kick. Main course of balti massalla had a great taste but the onions were a little hard. Will return but try a different main
Brilliant food and the most friendly staff I have come across and I even got a complimentary cocktail for my birthday which was the icing on the cake. Couldn’t recommend more
Fantastic. Excellent food, incredibly friendly staff; the perfect recipe for a delicious meal. We booked in at an off peak time - Tuesday, 9pm. Only a few customers were in, but the staff made us feel very welcome. We were checked on on multiple occasions. Servers offered really insightful help with menu choices. The poor lad next to us ordered a dish to hot to handle and they offered him milk, a change of dish and much sympathy and condolences. Very polite, attentive and caring. Babar for now, see you very soon.
Great food, great cocktails and amazing staff. Highly recommended 5Food: 5/5
