This is a small B&Q compared to most, however it is the only DIY shop of a decent size that is open to the public on a Sunday for miles around so it is very useful to the people of Newark.nIt has everything you would expect from a B&Q shop, including a large selection of paints and decorating bits. It also has everything you might need from a DIY shop.nFor a B&Q, the car park is quite small, so if it is busy, you might struggle to park a car towing a trailer, but you should be alright finding parking for your van.
Walked into the store with the intention of spending a few hundred pounds and was accosted by a rude and grumpy person on the door as I was asking if it was ok to have a coffee cup from Costa in my hands. Excellent products at B&Q but I took my money to Homebase instead and spent it there. I don't like rude & discourteous customer service and will express that with my wallet, by giving it to another retailer who is helpful and polite. B&Q, Learn customer service.
Finally we have B&Q in town, small but functional.nYesterday was our first time buying furniture from them, specifically a wardrobe. The seller was great, thanks for your patience Beth.
Sorely disappointed. Went to purchase some paint to find that unless you want white or magnolia, you won't have much choice. Yes, they do have a paint mixing desk but that adds approximately £10.00 onto a tin of paint! Will not be returning.
Called in to buy some paint 12/04/24. Unfortunately I was told that I would have to use the self service tills. No thanks. Plenty of other places sell paint. And will be the last time I step foot in BnQ
