Went into Dunfermline store after seeing flooring in the cumbernauld store. What a mistake that was. Although my husband is a joiner he just wanted to ask a question about it. The guy was ticketing in the flooring department so thought he would know. Wrong as much good as a chocolate fireguard. We went on to buy 11 packs and the young man at the till was amazing. Great service. B and Q if you want to know who gave the rubbish service check out who gave me my click and collect order. He wasn't nice either with this.
Went in to the Dunfermline store today for some decorating supplies and paint, was served by Karen who went above and beyond to help us - so friendly and knowledgeable, also received great service from Ben on the paint desk.
Been here a few times and it's typically no issue with finding what I need or quality of items. I've however had a number of negative experiences with staff at this store that make me just altogether hate DIY if it involves coming here. Being a novice DIYer I on occasion have needed to ask questions at the check out, and have been rudely turned away from the assisted counter and told to use the self checkout; the staff clearly can't be bothered dealing with the customers. I've been quizzed on why I'm using a trade point card , and it just puts me off , as buying huge items , with self checkouts that don't work the same way as most shops and having no help from staff is somewhat intimidating if you're new to DIY. Don't like going to this B&Q
Everything you need for DIY, gardening, bathroom renovation, kitchen renovation, paint jobs, laminate flooring and anything else you can think of for doing up your home all under one roof, fantastic!
Went in for paint, too many choices!! Couldn't decide what would go with my new wallpaper, but the girl on the mixing desk was able pick one that matched perfectly as soon as she saw my paper.nGreat service, will always seek her advice. Great with colours.
