Went there on the 4th January to wash the car on the way to The Lakes Bearing in mind I’m not from the area and parked up in the self wash place. I got out and put in 2 £2 coins into the machine for it to not work. I pressed all of the buttons and raised the hose etc to no avail. So I went inside and spoke to the lady inside to say what had happened and to see if she was aware it was broke or something just happened. To which I was told abruptly ‘I can’t do anything, you’ll have to speak to the manager’. However the manager wasn’t it and wouldn’t be back until the afternoon. I was told that she couldn’t do nothing and didn’t seem to care at all and had the analogy of we’ve got your £4 in the machine and it’s not worked so I don’t care. I was told that I needed to call back later on to speak to the manager and get it sorted and despite me saying I lived about 20 miles away and was about to leave for the lakes, that made no difference. I requested a phone number for the manager for me to call up and speak to him but was then begrudgingly given a ripped receipt from the till with the number to the garage not a direct number for the manager and that was it. Lack of customer service skills, lack of compassion and lack of anything else really. Stay clear.
Very nice chap serving inside the garage shop. Carwash is pretty thorough.
