Excellent cut price home store. Can at times be a bit of a lottery as to what the special promotions are, but if you are lucky and you see something you want or need, then you can be sure it will be at a bargain price.nThere is a selection of foodstuffs and sweets, and on the next rack you can find bedding and soft furniture. There is also a small selection of decorating tools and wallpapers and some floor coverings.nAgain clearly marked disabled parking by the door. Unfortunately getting about in a wheelchair is not so easy instore. In places the aisle end promotions and stacked goods can make manoeuvring difficult.
I DETEST this store. Or rather, I detest the squirly, stupid, senseless, anarchic way of queueing in this shop. It makes no sense whatsoever. EVERY TIME I visit this shop when it is busy, I have no idea how the system of queueing works or rather, doesn't. Here's what happened on more than one occasion: I stand at the end of the aisle where the paint is. Because there are so many displays around, nobody can see you in the queue. So, someone always walks in from the left hand side, and goes to a checkout in front of you. Today, I tried something different: I stood behind several people who were queueing along the facing the tills. Someone then walks up from the paint aisle, and again walks in front of me. B&M, WHAT THE FARK IS GOING ON!!!! Now, I am a very patient person, but the audacity of the people who shop in this store and don't even acknowledge that you are also standing in a queue is outrageous. Another time, I stood in the paint aisle, again, waiting to be served, and a man walks in from the left and goes in front of me. His wife signalled to him that I was also waiting to be served before him. Now get this - he blames me for the misunderstanding!! B&M, at least put up some kind of barrier system for crying out loud.
Could not get everything we needed but walked out with lots of stuff we wanted. Shopping took 10-15 mins but stood at the tills for a good 30 minutes. Checkout operator waited till the queue was 8 people deep all with trolleys before she put a shout out for another operator then another 10 minutes passed before she turned up then it was a free for all to get to the next checkout no organisation. People who had not even queued ended up first in the new checkout. Just a shop full of stuff you do not need. I will not be rushing back
Visited after having an operation that went on longer than expected, meaning I missed the last ferry to Arran. Brilliant prices, excellent products, but the star of the store was the lady who served me. So polite and attentive, helped me pack as I was struggling with a plaster cast. Lovely lady who went above and beyond when I was tired and in a lot of pain. Will definitely recommend and come back
Had a slight mishap at the checkout this morning where the person I was with thought they had lost bank card. I would just like to say the young man who was working the checkout was an absolute star. His manners and professionalism was top notch but also he was very empathetic, B and M give this gentleman a pay rise, any business that has him as an employee are very lucky, well done young man.
