British Retail Service has reached a new low point after my experience today. 1 store assistant on the till with a queue of about 8 customers waiting…. Suddenly 2 of her colleagues appear to help and relieve the queue… my mistake, the 2 scruffy unkempt youngsters were passing by all customers and going outside for a fag…. sniggering as they went… leaving the poor lady on her own to deal with the growing queue of customers. When I eventually did get served I asked her if she was the only member of staff that worked and she said yes… I suggested she complain about her colleagues and their lack of effort, gumption General uselessness to her supervisor…. She replied that was her supervisor! The country is doomed if these are the standards we deem acceptable!!
My wife and I go to this store at least once a month and get all of household items, mostly all good value for money. Staff we found are mostly pleasant and helpful, can sometimes be a bit of a wait at tills with problems not necessarily created by there staff. All in all not a bad place to get all your bits n pieces. At the time of our visit there was a good Christmas selection of items, shortbread biscuits to name but one!
The store itself is good. The staff at the checkouts though I would say need retraining. They don't bother saying hello or thank you or even a goodbye. This has happened most of the times I have been in there. It's the last thing that the staff can do to give a final good impression and it's a real let down unfortunately.
Well packed store with huge range of goods.nTheir electrical appliances range has definitely expanded and at good prices.nPlenty of free parking too.nNot B&M problem but make sure you drive up to the lights to trigger the traffic light sensors as you don't automatically get a turn
One of the better B&Ms I've been into. The car park is exclusive to the store meaning there's plenty of space.
