Good size discount store, always guaranteed to get a real bargain, there is parking close By, it can get very busy at the tills but they're normally pretty good with opening them and not just leaving one staff to deal with it all

I love this store. It's the place to go when you need something at the last moment. They have a little of everything, all at budget prices. The staff are always available, and will go that extra mile to help you.  Quality is sometimes lacking, which is acceptable and understandable for the price you pay. They offer a wide range of products, catering to all areas and needs of the general public. The only negative I will give, is collection of large items can be quite difficult, due to the location of the store.

B&M's store in South Shields is great until you get used to buying a product there, then go to buy some only to find it's disappeared - probably forever!!🙁 The thing that puts me off even more though is being constantly accosted by the charity collectors who are sat on a chair just inside the doorway by the checkouts EVERY SINGLE TIME I've been there (literally) for months... they sit and watch you pay for your stuff, then rattle their tins/boxes/tubs at you as you reach to open the door while they chant their pre-prepared slogans such as "Will you help breast cancer??" or "Children with cerebral palsy??" ﹰﹰetc etc... (I recently found out that on average, only a penny out of every £1 you give these kind of charity collectors actually goes to the charity in question...) As a single parent this really upsets me as it is hard raising my own child without being hounded like that for money in full view of everyone else in the shop - you feel obliged to give them something (which a lot of the time you can't afford...) just to avoid the judgemental disapproving glares of everyone who will witness it if you don't!! I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels like this - I actually tried to locate a manager to say this to but I couldn't find one, just a young staff assistant (who wanted to know why I wanted to speak to the manager while standing right next to the charity collectors when she was asking!) It's starting to put me off going in at all...!

Lots of choice and space to help you get around, great prices but no toilets so can't stay long.
