Horrible man with his glow sticks thinking he's at a rave . I'm new to the area and took a wrong turn. He was screaming and yelling at me so I shouted back! Rude horrible wee man syndrome! If my husband was in the car he wouldn't have said a word! But it was myself and young daughter! Get a grip! What an absolute waste of space!
Very frustrated with my experience here. Wanted to catch a bus to Culzean castle, was told there would be one at 12:50 departing from stand 6. Was told stand 6 by 2 different workers, and even had the stagecoach app on my phone that stated stand 6. I get there 10 min before departure, standing right infront of stand 6. There is a signboard that has the bus number and departure times by stand 6. Gets to 2 mins before departure and bus not there. I go up to worker I had spoken to before, and she points to a bus pulling off onto the street, telling me I missed it and it had departed from stand 2. No explanation, just said I would have to wait an hour for the next one. Very unhelpful and complete waste of time.
It's a dump. No-one to assist where you are going. Bays no details. Just have to await the electric buses firing up to see where they are going. Most buses don't even appear to go from the station. A real proper let down for Ayr
Man working at the station directing coaches was yelling at pedestrians for crossing at the pedestrian crossing, particularly more aggressive with the elderly ladies just trying to cross the street. he was continuously yelling to the pedestrians aggressively to hurry up and shouting to them from across the station even when there was no busses coming or going. i understand the job is to make entry to the station clear for busses but he was in no way polite to anybody! Very rude man I feel sorry for anyone who has to go near that station when he is working
While the bus station is awful to wait in, no shelter, waiting room, loos or adequate electronic notice boards....a very big thank you to the traffic controller who stopped me missing the Irish ferry bus today. He realised I was at the usual stand and it had pulled in elsewhere.
