Had high hopes with such a big score on Google which was not justified. The first course - tzatziki tasted suspiciously like philadelphia cheese. I would avoid ordering this. There was also a huge amount of it and a little bit of Pitta which was very dry.nThe main was OK. The chicken was well grilled and had a good smokey taste but the accompanying salad and rice weren't great.nWorst part of the experience was asking the bartender to make her speciality cocktail and getting a mix of orange juice and grenadine for £8.95. Not recommended. Altogether £56. Avoid.
We celebrated my partners birthday here with a small group of friends, the staff were all wonderful and friendly. The food is absolutely amazing and cooked perfectly.nI tried four different cocktails and all were lovely.nWe sat in the fire pit room which was beautiful and kept us warm through the evening, its perfect for a special occasion.nWill definitely return in the future.
We visited Aya Sophia on 14/02/2026 at 19:30 for a quiet dinner, just my wife and me. The food was good. However, the experience was overshadowed by something upsetting.nThroughout the meal, we were both perfectly fine — chatting normally, laughing, and being polite to staff. I was genuinely kind and friendly the entire time. Later, my wife told me that a staff member had quietly pulled her aside or asked her privately to check if she was 'okay' or safe, apparently concerned that I might be abusive toward her.nThis assumption came out of nowhere and felt very intrusive and unfair. Nothing in our behavior warranted it — no raised voices, no arguments, no signs of distress. It left us both confused and uncomfortable, and honestly made us feel accused of something we weren't doing. We left feeling unwelcome rather than cared for.nI understand staff are trained to look out for potential issues, which is important, but in this case it was a serious misjudgment that damaged the experience. Better guidelines on discreetly assessing situations or perhaps approaching couples together if concern is genuine might help avoid alienating customers in the future.nWe won't be returning, which is a shame because we wanted to like it here.
Lovely very attentive staff, very good music that during gaps in conversation can save it from feel too awkward but not too noticeable that you can't tune it out easily- great drinks selection, id really recommend it if you want to go get drinks with someone! Great deserts, little bit on the expensive side but still yum. Also recommend going during their 2 for £12 deal on cocktails as its quiet cheap compared to most places nowadays!
Absolutely amazing tasty food, the cocktails are outstanding. The staff are very lovely and friendly with most staff smiling which makes it better especially for customers too have cheerful staff.nStaff go above and beyond couldn’t recommend this place enough.
