Axe Vale Caravan Park is a quiet site no club - good, just a short distance from Seaton. The whole site is kept perfectly clean and tidy, and the owners and staff are a delight: welcoming and very professional. Recommended.
Lovely little Family Run Holiday Static Caravan site. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Has a shop, laundry and kids play area. Dogs are welcome. If you order linen for your caravan you'll get sheets , pillow case and blankets. If you want a duvet bring your own. People keep coming back year after year. Seaton sea front is a short walk away. As are Axe Valley Nature Reserve. Nearby is Pecorama and Beer as well as Beer Caves. There is also a Major Tesco supermarket nearby for all your usual grocery needs. It is also opposite Seaton Town FC.
Disappointing as I read good reviews before choosing to stay here. On arrival the mattress protectors were stained. They did change these but there was no apology not very customer orientated. It was only later I realised all the unused beds were also stained and every room smelled of urine. The shower had a filthy shower head and mould on the wall and ceiling. We didn't have a nice view instead it was a sewage works that you could smell. Kettle is dangerous as it's a camping one which spills every where perhaps we were just unlucky and it's nicer down the other end. They need to state bring your own duvets on the website not just bed linen it was freezing and you pay for your electric which is everything except for the cooker. Parking spaces very small and needs to be organised better. Stayed in much better and basic caravans. It was quiet and the shop was quite reasonable. The area of east Devon is beautiful.
Lovely peaceful caravan site within easy walking distance of the town and seafront. Made a useful base for exploring the South East of Devon. The caravan itself was clean and tidy. My only slight niggles are would prefer an electric kettle instead of a hob one. The plastic coating on the mattress is not only old fashioned but really uncomfortable as our sheets from home would not stay tucked in so found yourself on the exposed plastic during the night. Also the shower was hot to start off with but then ran cold warming up again few minutes later. Not major issue just really awkward.
Just had our first visit to the site. It was very well kept and tidy. The caravan was spacious and very clean. Resulting in a very relaxing holiday. We have already booked a stay for next year.
