Nice place to shop, good food selections, however the restaurant was fairly poor, service was slow, went to sit outside and lots of empty tables but 7 of them had not been cleared, had to ask staff to send someone out..that said the food was very good indeed.
Nice place but expensive. Staff are very helpful. Food and service was superb...
Excellent farm shop - quite big in size. High quality plants and decor. Excellent restaurant & coffee shop. Quite expensive as expected from Avoca. But nice place to visit.
Really nice guy in the pizzeria today, super friendly really nice guy,I didn't catch his name but I know he said he's from Romania. He is a great example of customer service at its finest can't say the same for most other staff he made my niece a chocolate pizza with berries and figs,it looked and tasted unbelievable. Credit where credit is due. I hope this message can be passed onto him
I just visited the garden center section today and so this review is just for that area. They have a very nice and I would say large selection even at this time of the year staff are very polite and plesant as always. Prices are a shade on the expensive side but generally speaking you pay for quality and any plant I ever bought here has stood the test of time.
This place is so beautiful. It has everything. Plants, food, books, clothes. All amazing quality, tucked away in a lovely surrounding. Very calm and peaceful atmosphere. Friendly staff and it doesn’t feel posh or pretentious…. Despite selling a huge range of things some which would cost as much as my car Love it. For everyone. Just go. On you own. For a date. With your mam. Bring your boss like…. ‍ it’s just really nice.
What a nice place for with nice meals. Plenty options for desserts with a nice tea or coffee. Plants and clothing Shops are quite nice.
Have visited Avoca Dunboyne many times, mostly to eat in the restaurant. While it's been 4-star overpriced, hence not 5-star in the past, it has sadly been slipping in quality in the past year or so. Yesterday morning I met a friend there for breakfast, which turned out to be a poor experience for us both. The place was grimy: seats and benches had not been swept down or cleaned from previous day. Some tables looked dirty and the floor was unwashed. Basics! Three staff members in a huddle beside customers talking VERY loudly, as if the place was empty. We both got a sense that the staff seemed to be going through the motions and not interested in customer engagement. Food was decent enough but I've had better quality for much less in local cafes and eateries including tea or coffee. At €38 for two coffees and two cooked breakfasts, this was simply not worth it, especially for an establishment positioning itself as upmarket. I am reluctant to return.
I haven’t been to Dunboyne in a few months took a friend there for a bowl of soup , coconut milk, carrot and coriander ! It was always a place for good food but this soup was very poor and lacked flavour and consistency . I just realised afterwards it was 19.95€ for 2 bowls of soup with bread for that !! Unless they up their game I won’t be returning
A lovely experience. Exceptional food and Drink...albeit a little more pricy than others, but the quality is certainly there. Those fresh roast chicken and roast pork sandwiches are devine....Good Coffee too. Really friendly and helpful staff. Well done
