We arrived at the lounge at around 9am and was told there was no seat inside and they were taking waiting list. After sitting outside for about 25-30 minutes, we were called in. Pros: It was bright with high ceiling. It is seemingly large yet narrow. Most time when you getting coffee or food, you will have to stand aside to let people walking by. The staff are friendly, letting us to stay a bit over its regulated three hours limit. Cons: it was crowded. Lack of feeling of “lounge”, more like a bar. We stay for both breakfast and lunch. The selection of food was limited. There was no fruit. No bottle water or soda. The breakfast was mediocre and tasteless.
I really like the food here. Honestly the curry and ethnic options I thought were awesome. Also the salad they had was fresh and had great tasting vegetables. The coffee machine was fully functional and was nice but this is one of those things that probably doesn’t matter as much to British people but they had tiger beer in bottles which I thought was really cool because it’s hard for me to get bad as an American outside of Singapore. People will obviously complain about no bathrooms or showers but you know you had a pretty good view of what was going on in the terminal and I think if I’m flying British Airways I’ll know what to expect next time. I’ve typically flown virgin or Delta out of Heathrow and those lounges have showers for Priority Pass members but honestly the food was still really good.
When we arrived it was overcrowded, too many people and not enough available seats. Generally, the place is quite small for such a big airport. The buffet and hence their food assortment is also again very small: one hot, one cold buffet, what you see on the photos and that’s it. But it is nice that they offer vegetarian and vegan dishes. Due to the crowds the buffet was very messy. Also, the tables were dirty with empty plates, cups, glasses… In the end, when people left, it was okay. Still the standard is quite low comparable to other places.
Far away from a exclusive lounge, but on my arrival they staff were kinda rude, but I did my best to be polite and positive and after a while they were way nicer. I asked for gluten free bread, which they had, and the other food was absolutely ok. Why I’m giving them four stars should be a 2 or 3 is because the view from the window was absolutely fantastic. And it was all clean and not that many people.
It's not the first lounge i have been and possibly not the last. But certainly this is the worst. Minor things can make great things very shoddy. The reception actually, is a put off. Came in at about 530 PM. The lady at the front desk behaved as if she was handing out favours. While the staff inside was courteous and food served was hot or cold as it should be, the noise from within the kitchen/ pantry was a put off. Worst was the space between the chairs and railing opposite desert side ! I saw atleast three or four people slipping. The space is uneven. Imagine getting a nasty sprain during travel. Hope someone takes note
Nice lounge with good panoramic views, however like many lounges now it’s over subscribed, too many people sitting with luggage/jackets over seats with nobody sitting in them, this should be policed better by staff, especially at peaks times. I am part of priority pass and was still asked how long I would be using the lounge for, if you required more than an hour you were being put on a list. Drinks options were good, food was very limited. A curry, or some crackers and cheese, I wasn’t eating on this visit. Had a coffee, and a Pepsi, ok, not worth £40 if you were paying full price. As above, only used as it’s part of the priority pass.
Terrible lounge considering it's T5 and the newest terminal. Extremely small space with not enough seating to accommodate the capacity if guests it can hold. The food options are extremely limited and poor quality. Spirits and wine are free but it's extra for procescco which isn't the norm for lounges. The lounge doesn't even have a toilet, you have to go outside into the main airport. Staff on the other hand make up for a poor lounge. They are kind I think a gee reviews said they are rude but this was not our experience. We left and ended up eating at the Gordon Ramsay plane food restaurant which was great.
Overall a good experience, the food is of a high standard and regularly topped up, with a good food selection. The drink selection is also good, with an array of beverages, you do have to pay a surcharge for champagne and prosecco. The lounge does get extremely busy and can be difficult to find a seat during these busy periods. However the staff are very friendly and accommodating and do try hard to help you find a seat. The overall ambience is good, with an unrushed experience. This lounge does not have its own toilets or showers. I recommend this lounge over the BA lounge, even though the BA is bigger in size.
For £40 you can stay in the lounge for 3hours. I arrived a little before a 3hour slot, so Fatama at the desk was very polite and thoughtful to wait the few minutes before registering my boarding card on. It is good service like this, that goes a long way. The place is clean with plenty of single seats at benches. Pancake machine is quite the novelty, and are delicious. Well worth the money for the food and drinks offered, a comfortable place to relax.
We were able to enter with priority pass without having to pay £6 to reserve a seat in advanced. We entered around 8:20am and it was already kinda busy and crowded. No WC in the lounge so you must go in and out in order to wash your hands. Food was ok. I like that they have smoothies. When it's sunny you can see the sunlight shines through the terminal panels.
