Our Ford B max recently repaired by this establishment. We had been told by our local Ford dealer at Attleborough Norfolk that they were unable to obtain part to replace the automatic transmission module and informed us there were none of these available anywhere in UK. They were unable to tell us when and if they were available. After extensive research by ourselves and our daughter we were put in touch with ATS. Difficult for us to manage without his car- husband disabled and due to problems in left foot unable to operate clutch pedal in manual car. ATS were fully booked but suggested we get the car to them they would do their utmost to fit the job in. Car repaired and ready for collection within a few days. I rarely leave reviews however it is the least they deserve. Have a 14yr old TT V6 with a DSG gearbox that was tending to 'jerk' a bit in the lower gears & reverse. Have read reviews on forums which say it is a mechatronics issue, other's have said it is a characteristic of the DSG, which I struggle to believe. I had previously called my local independent who seemed disinterested and then the Audi main dealer who in turn said they would have to strip the gearbox etc etc in the first instance at huge cost! I then tried John Austin in Colchester who basically said go straight to ATS in Mersea. When speaking to Gary at ATS he basically diagnosed the fault over the phone. Even better, they managed to get most of the cost covered by my third party warranty! The effort they put in with repairing the car and ensuring the warranty company came to the party was outstanding. The car now drives perfectly, and better than my wife's 2 year old Audi S-tronic!Service: Transmission

Took my car to have diagnostics for an intermittent fault & an engine management light. There are covid precautions taken. I was welcomed by a lovely/friendly lady who asked me to complete the relevant paperwork & directed me to where I could get a drink & use a toilet. I was given the time it would take for my vehicle to be tested. I was amazed that my car was taken for a test drive & the thorough report & explanation I was given by Gary. I said that I appreciated his expert advice & honesty. As a woman who knows very little about cars, I felt I could really trust the information given & make a confident, informed decision. It appears our car is sadly not worth repairing & I felt that Gary could easily have talked me in to having repairs done or investigate/repair the current issue, knowing that further issues could occur. This would mean more repairs or money. Gary was honest to say that he would rather repair the whole gearbox, to ensure that doesn't happen. My husband was able to fully understand the issues with the car as further issues noted with the engine & also make an informed decision, without talking to Gary. We were both really pleased with the service & found the cost very reasonable for the time & service given. I have even called for advice on choosing a new vehicle & Gary was kind enough to give us his time, clear explanation & was very knowledgeable. Thank you Gary & staff. We will definitely recommend your services, as you were recommended to us by our regular garage.
I phoned them about a gearbox problem with a VW Golf DSG. They gave me great advice including getting a local garage to carry out a diagnostics check. Once this was done they phoned me with a very detailed explanation of what they were sure was the problem. I took the car to them and thery fitted a refurbished mechatronics unit at about half the price of a new one. Took about a week to complete but car drives like new. Great service and very pleasant and knowledgeable people to deal with. Would recommend for any DSG issues. Many thanks.Service: Transmission
What a great and friendly team, Great communication and support. Gary diagnosed the fault and it was totally different to what every one had thought. Good prices and diligent workmanship. I would deffinetly recommend them especially if you have a Ford automatic prone to faults.
