The school building and grounds are in a constant mess. The students are constantly having fights with eachother and teachers which are not handled correctly. They do not handle or fix situations the way they are needed and are extremely rude or strict about issues that are not big deals but don't do anything when it comes to forms of bullying or harassment. The teachers focus all your time at home and at school in studying everything, even though most of it is not needed or relevant, they expect the students to put in hours of work in which they do not have for all the lessons you're expected. The food is overpriced and not filling for the prices they put out.
Absolutely shocking behaviour from the staff towards the students and even the students parents/carers. Internal incidents happening weekly, some of which should be reported to the police and the school fail to do so. If you have other options, do NOT send you son/daughter to this school .
Despite the respect we already had for Hannah and the Dream STEAM team members we already knew that she has pulled together for this school we were already in awe of what they said they were going to do there but to see and hear it at their first community STEAM TeachMeet see photos was something else. Many people/schools are jumping on the STEAM band wagon by just bolting A into a STEM offer but this school community are truly delivering a broad and balanced curriculum with something for every child, and genuinely delivering a cross curricula pedagolgy that not only has a strong emphasis on art, the arts and creativity but use it to engage learners in other subjects, well beyond STEAM which is why the acronym itself is something of a nonsense, other than being a much needed rubber ring for the arts which are under such pressure in our schools. As individuals and a team they've already demonstrated great generosity to us at previous events and here and we look forward to supporting them in any way we can.
My son loves being at Aureus and is growing in confidence every day. The school offers a great balance of mindfulness, wellbeing, academic curriculum and personal development. Each student is valued and all members of staff take the time to ensure that individual needs are accommodated. There is a great strength in leadership and expectation of excellence throughout the school for both staff and students. Aureus welcomes support from parents and I have personally been involved in a number of events, giving me much more appreciation of the wonderful opportunities that are available. I would have no hesitation in recommending this school.
My child is in Y7 at Aureus School and loves it there! The pupils are encouraged to be individuals and the academic curriculum is enhanced by the school’s holistic approach, values and extensive programme of extra curricular activities. There is regular communication from the school with termly assessment information presented clearly. My child really enjoys the school meals and the opportunity to chat with friends and members of staff over lunch. I feel that there is plenty of choice and the meals are good value for money. Whenever I have visited the school I have felt welcomed and inspired. I would highly recommend it.
I was very excited to visit Aureus school as part of a normal school day to see the school in action. Upon arrival I was greeted by two delightful students. We embarked on a guided tour of the phenomenal facilities and the excellent learning environments. The students embodied the ethos of the school and were very knowledgable of the progress the school will make and how it willl contribute positively to the community. The staff were incredibly welcoming and happy to collaborate. What a great experience and I look forward to visiting again!
I have had the privilege of visiting this outstanding school and have seen the inspiring work of the students and staff. I have no hesitation in recommending Aureus as a school that develops all aspects of students to make them successful learners. It is also a school which develops Wellbeing and resilience. What a wonderful school. The place oozes positivity, the pupils are engaged and look really happy to be there, they have been doing such exciting things! I attended the official opening and was really impressed with the ethos of the school and the enthusiasm of Head Hannah Wilson is infectious. I am sure the school will go from strength to strength.

The facilities in the school looks amazing. Beautiful reception area, great hall, modern kitchen and dining area, with a beautiful outside space as well. What really impressed me was the head teacher, Hannah Wilson, who spent time chatting about her vision for the school and the children. You can just sense her passion to see every child excel in their unique abilities and strengths.
