I’m afraid to say this place was mediocre. First the price was £4 for a scoop, £5.5 for 2 scoops. Toppings were ‘complimentary’, which means you’re paying for it anyways. HOWEVER, the toppings were EXCEPTIONALLY DISGUSTING.. seriously. Maybe nice for ‘Instagram’, but they were inedible, tasted cheap and nasty, especially the chocolate toppings. Gross. Nuts were alright, we didn’t try ‘sweets’ as toppings. We ordered Scottish tablet and espresso, both were really just ok, the cone was not bad. Overall, we seriously doubt people queue up only for the picture rather than for quality ice cream. If you’re serious about good ice cream, I’d say mackies in supermarket is better than this place.
Ice cream itself was okay. Not too sweet, but nothing special. The decorations on ice cream are some cheap nasty chocolates, especially that cute yellow lion. I would feel shame even giving those chocolates on trick or treat. Totally not worth the price and long queue.
Delicious. Very small shop but sitting outside. Pretty much there is waiting line all the time but goes really fast.
Wow. Walking into this little shop at dusk was a was a sensory experience. The colours, the sweets, the smell, the ice cream, oh my word the ICE CREAM! Quite simply, the best ice cream I've had outside of the Mediterranean. Possibly even there too. Somehow both sweet and subtle, creamy, but not claggy and topped with a choice of desserts on a fresh, crispy wafer cone. The perfect end to an amazing day. The dolphins in the bay even treated us to a display as we demolished our cones!
First let me say that I’m not really an “ice cream person” but this ice cream was so good, I could become one. Great location right on the beach. Employees were friendly and helpful. Lots of topping choices and other goodies in the store, even doggy treats. I had a chance meeting with the owners and I can’t say enough good things about them. Very friendly, helpful and considerate. I would definitely become an “I’ve cream person” if I lived near this shop. Highly recommend!
Great ice cream and a large variety of flavours!! 1 scoop is £3.50, 2 scoops is £4.50 and 3 scoops is £5.50. Reasonably priced as they taste really good, very rich and true to the flavours. It's a very small, cute store that sells coffee, ice creams and sweets. Staff was nice and friendly and service was quick. It's very conveniently located next to a fish and chip shop the bay so after eating fish and chip, end the meal with an ice cream!!
Really nicely presented with loads of choice from sweets to cakes and tempting flavours of ice cream. We had 4 ice creams and whilst reasonably nice were not the best of ice cream and therefore don't feel it qualifies for the prices charged - £3.50 for one scoop. The peanut butter was really lacking but the snickers was enjoyable and kind of made up for it.
An amazing place we're you can eat delicious ice-cream, sweets and drink a delicious hot chocolate or aders delicious drinks from the manew. If you want to enjoy a ice cream there are a lot of flavours from you can buy. I really love the way they serv the hot chocolate with masmalos and sweets. If is a sunny day is really nice to enjoy sitting outside admiring the see.
If you want amazing ice cream then this is the place to go. Been quite a few times now and never been disappointed. Highly recommended.
First visit to Aunty Betty's and wasn't the last... Omg the ice-cream is absolutely amazing. Scottish Tablet with a 99 was amazing. 2nd visit to try peanut butter with sweets and chocolate... Absolutely outstanding. Will definitely be back for more!
