I’ve only just moved to the area, visited this post office twice, one to post return parcel, the other to send a letter. Both times a man / men who were working there was so rude. I don’t understand why or how he can have such poor customer service skills the older of the two men. I only asked for proof postage and he spoke to me like I was dirt, negative body language, eye rolling, talking down to me. It upset me and I’m not a sensitive person. I hope it’s not the only post office in the area, because I really do not want to return. On another time two men behind counter just ignored me, chatting to themselves and I was waiting to see if I get receipt for parcel and I was blanked. Just both times were terrible. Most unhelpful I’ve ever come across. Seems like he older of the two was worse just doesn’t like people. Or me, but I didn’t say or do any thing to deserve this low level service. Hope others don’t experience this.
Such pleasant helpful friendly people that it’s a pleasure to go there. Happy safe Christmas to you all.
I have always found the owner friendly and helpful. I have an elderly mother and he has always acted with respect and kindness towards her. Always asks me how she is when I come in. I can only say that I always have a good experience when I go to the Post Office.
I have just been shouted at by the horrible man behind the counter because he didn't explain himself properly. This isn't the first time. He deliberately raised his voice to me and when I raised mine back I was told to leave! I am disgusted by his attitude and rudeness. This has happened several times I am shaken and in tears.
That man who works behind the counter is incredibly rude. He's had my mother in tears multiple times and he should be fired for his rudeness and poor treatment of customers. He makes us not want to use the post office, which is incredibly inconvenient as we are both people with disabilities and need to use the post office frequently.
The most helpful and friendly staff - I use the PO in Okehampton regularly for both business and domestic. I find it very hard to believe the negative reviews below.
Astonished at the negative reviews on here, nothing other than polite, professional, customer service experienced whilst using this post office. Sincere thanks to ALL staff for being there for us during these uncertain times. Huge Respect .
Not great prices on the food
Got short changed £3.00 no receipt for proof of money given. Left feeling confused so readded and knew I was right to be puzzled! The postmaster cant count and didn't want confrontation!
As below I can't understand the negative comments. Professional, polite and friendly. I almost look forwards to going there!
