Feel compelled to review Morrisons cafe. The food was OK nice big breakfast with all the normal trimmings but what really made it was Simon. Its honestly such a delight to see someone so happy with their work, the interaction he had with the customers and the way he went above and beyond to make sure everyone was not only just eating well but had all the condiments and crudiments along with a fantastic smile. He literally couldn't do enough, the tables were spotless and he obviously has great pride in his work. Very impressed, we would visit again just to interact with him. This is just unheard of in this day and age Thank you Simon you made our breakfast.
Great selection and big store! Clean and tidy with a large car park which is helpful. With a petrol station and also close to a KFC another cafe and an aldi so good little shopping area in Lake.
Visited 22 Feb - i was in a self service till and I was buying a £42 worth of whisky, I approached a male staff with an initial of ‘M’ and he let me waited for a couple of minutes, he was talking to some colleagues who was dealing with a customer, security was involved already, I was patient and he came to me and punched a code to clear the till screen, he left and his attention was still with those colleagues in front of Customer Service reception, I was stucked and chasing him - he let me felt I don’t exist. He cane to the till again and assisted me again so I told him that why he was treating me like that. He said he is not even on duty he was still on his uniform. So I told him it is. Est to communicate clearly with me Your staff needs training. I told him I am not buying anymore
Shouldn't really say this but their doughnuts are lovely. Best on the lsland.They just don't bake enough of them. Now there won't be any left as lve spilt the beans. Walnut bread is very nice. Often have a whole salmon on offer. Staff always helpful and friendly.
It's a well stocked medium sized supermarket well situated and with a fair sized car park. Outside that you might get from a true artisan baker their bead some of the best of any supermarket stuff.... in our opinion..... and that's from someone who usually bakes their own! Also has fuel.
This supermarket is in Lake on the Isle of Wight and is located on its own with parking that seems to go on forever. The store is extremely big and has a petrol station near the store and prices are very competitive considering the general price of petrol on the island. If you need to go shopping and fill your car up for a very reasonable price then Morrisons is the place to go.
Went in the cafe for a cuppa while shopping. No clean china cups. When we asked was told use a paper one the dishwasher isn’t working. My wife asked if a cup could be washed as we don’t like paper cups. It was reluctantly washed. A few days ago we ate in there. The jacket potato had no butter. We had to ask and she got it from the back. My breakfast arrived the bacon was dry and overcooked where it had been kept warm for so long. With regards to the store, many of the shelves were empty in the cold section. Yoghurts etc, certainly not the best store we have been to
Nice clean well stocked store. Excellent bakery department and café with very reasonable food freshly cooked. Easy parking, and fuel available.
Other than the exit layout being a bit weird, this is a great Morrisons, probably the best Morrisons I've been to, and a good supermarket generally.
One of the better Morrisons, but stock control was a serious problem when we visited. The shelves had been stripped bare. Have Morrisons never heard of stockrooms? "Just in time" doesn't work on the mainland, so it certainly won't work on an island!
