Mr Richard White was very quick and efficient at helping a long line of customers. All with a smile on his face demonstrating brilliant customer care.
Queue was quite slow but that was due to customers not thecstaff!
Generally the service in this branch is ok x lots of till and cheque paying in machines that are very handy. Today we experienced the manager Jason Pickering, who was rude in passing with a snide comment - I had commented to my mother regarding the banks closing time, as they turned the lights down at 4:30 and screened off the cashiers and help desk despite the bank listing as open until 5pm. this was while we waited for the lady who was dealing with us around 4:30pm. When the manager came to assist to try and sort a communication issue between the branch and the business banking team in Birmingham, he was patronising and extremely disagreeable once again. Not what you expect from a bank such as Lloyd’s. The lady who helped us otherwise was very nice and did the best she could we what appeared to be a frustrating internal communications system. I will be moving banks after today’s experience and I would not recommend anyone looking for business banking in Shrewsbury to consider this branch.
I've used this branch for more than 25 years and ALWAYS found the staff helpful, kind and professional. Over the last 10 years, each time I've needed to visit, I've taken my very well behaved, and extremely well trained dog with me. Never has a comment ever been made apart from maybe how sweet she was. However, they now have a new Manager - Ms. Ince, who, when I went to bank a cheque today and was queuing for the machine, told me that I would have to leave the branch as dogs were not allowed inside. She failed to give a valid reason as to why it hadn't been a problem in the last 10 years and now suddenly was. Clearly, it was entirely her own choice to enforce this policy for no rational reason or justification, as previous managers had had no issues with well behaved dogs at all. I feel very sorry for the other extremely pleasant staff there, as clearly this new manager has changed the whole atmosphere of the branch! Consequently, after having banked with Lloyds for over 40 years, I shall now be closing my accounts unless the manager changes!.
Staff very rude! Made me feel like a criminal when I asked to withdraw some cash and tried to convince me to do bank transfer rather than a withdrawal! My own money out of my own account! I will not be returning! To sum up ‘BULLIES! ‘
Looking at the other reviews should have put me off entertaining this branch, but I risked it and never had a problem . Quick and pleasant service. Call it luck or whatever, I will be back
Visited on Wednesday 16 January 2019 for the first time in many years. There are two external cash machines on Pride Hill but it did feel exposed to the elements and the passing people. However interestingly on entering the bank there was a whole wall of further cash machines and much to my surprise these cash machines not only pay out with the ten and twenty pound notes but much to my surprise it also dispensed £5 notes.
Lloyd’s let down! I needed to use a cashier this afternoon, only to walk in at 4:39pm and find to my disgust that there were none working beyond 4:30! It does not state anywhere on the opening hours displayed at the front of the building that this would be the case. It does not state these times on this website also. The only help offered to me was to have me do all the extra work and them do next to nothing. Compared to other banks I have accounts with, Lloyds are shocking. They do not provide the reliable decent service they once did, even though they were bailed out by the Government! where do you think the money came from
The staff are very helpful but trying to open an account for my daughter has become impossible. I have been given the wrong or contradictory information on several occasions and now i will have to wait 30 days before i can re-apply!! Sorry to say but i will now be moving all of my accounts.
Came with a simple enquiry...was met with very rude service. Seems to be a trend with the rest of the reviews too. Glad I don't bank with them!
