Stayed here for a year during my Masters. Pretty pleasant experience, compared to some of the other student accomodations Urbanest ones for example the front desk is really chill and friendly. Ensuites are larger than the competition. I wish they kept the bin room floor a bit cleaner. That's probably the only peeve I had. Oh and the elevator doors take forever to close no button to expedite that for some reason Other than that, very quiet and laid back building, I was on the third floor next to the media room which is beautiful and usually empty. Had a railway track facing kitchen and it was a delight to watch the SWR trains buzz past. The sound is only a problem if you leave the windows open. Sainsbury's, Tesco and Boots Pharmacy is a 5-10 minute walk.
Highly recommend Atlas for KCL students!!nnWhat's to love: The location is amazing with Vauxhall tube, bus station and overground within 5 walking mins. You can get to all of KCL's campuses rather easily especially the IoPPN which can be a bit out of the way! Plus, within 5-7 mins there is the Vauxhall food market, several supermarkets sainsbo/waitrose and a Gail's if you're a coffee snobs like me!nnWhat I did appreciate most was the team at Atlas. They definitely made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. They are warm, friendly and always ready to help. Michael, Josh, Sergio, La-Mer, Ann, Alice, Tom everyone is so kind and caring!nnWhat needs getting used to: The studios are tight and sometimes it can feel noisy due to the street traffic and trains but that's central London life, I guess. The amazing view from my studio made up for it. Also, recommend using the study spaces to escape the confines of your room, or a walk/run along the thames in either direction towards Battersea park or London eye is a brilliant stress buster. The roof terrace or vauxhall park is a lovely place too for some fresh air!nnOverall, it's a great student accommodation to get started, explore London and make new friends.
Nice comfortable KCL student accommodation in Vauxhall.
The awesome dorm you should not miss if you r a KCL student.n1.The room space is quite biglarge studio 30m2, the normal studio 16-21m2, ensuite 12-15m2, private 7-10m2. If you lucky enough then you can get the room with bathtub like men2.The location is very convenient, the bus station centerwith 8 bus stops just 3mins by walk and with the same distance you can find the Vauxhall Station with the Victoria underground and South-Western train.n3.The way to King’s: You can go to Waterloo campus by train which only take you 5mins. If you want to go to Strand campus or Bush house then you can take 87 bus or Victoria underground which just take you 20mins.n4.The staffs are very nice and polite, if you buy something online, then after the stuff arrive, the reception will send you an email and you can go downstairs to get ur stuffs. PS, you can borrow vacuum machine “dyson” from receptionn5.The open space Study room, Media room, 31F Skygarden are so fantasy and the ornaments are so luxuriant.n6.There are one Sainsburry and one Waitrose near the Vauxhall station which you can go by walk in 3mins. If you want to buy more stuff then you can go to Sainsburry “supermarket level” by walk in 8mins and Waitrose ”supermarket level” by walk in 15mins.nnHope you can get all the info u want from my review
Worst things about this accommodation:n- Super cold in the winter because you cannot control when the radiator turns on. One thing you can do to make it better is tape the vent above the window.n- The floor is carpeted in the worst carpet. It is impossible to clean. The provided vacuums are not very good.n- It can be very noisy because of the railway. Try booking 6 floor+.n- On the first couple days it will be very hectic so parcels might not be given to you on the first day you arrive. Try to bring everything essential with you instead of ordering.n- If you live on the higher floors the elevator will take a long time to get to you.n- It is so expensive.nnBest things about this accommodation:n- Guests are allowed for 2 weeks.n- Nice common room, kitchen and terraces.n- Quite a lot of grocery shops around. My favourite is Lidl, it is a 20 min walk from the accommodation.n- 40 min walk to the strand campus. And there is a direct bus to campus.n- Help desk is always helpful. It is open 24 hours.n- Security is pretty good.
