Didn't stay, I used the hotel for a course. But the event rooms are spacious and well heated/air conditioned. Staff and kind, friendly and very helpful. Directly opposite the train station, and some buses stop there too.Service: 5/5

As I was there on training I only used the training room suites, was clean safe and secure....Rooms: 4/5
This hotel was really nice with a pool table gated parking and very friendly staff. The only reason for the 4 starts for the rooms is that the shower did reduce to very low pressure once; I believe due to other guests using water at the same time being lots having a shower at the same time or flushing of toilets. The rest of the hotel experience was really good. A fantastic breakfast served with a smile .
Rooms were very clean,staff were lovely especially Jenny. Breakfast had a great choice. Down side was the noise from outside as the room was above a taxi rank and opposite the station so it was noisy through the night.But would definitely stay there again.
We stay here every yr for an Army reunion. The staff are awesome and it has a bar, so whats not to love. Rooms are a bit dated but comfortable and clean and not overly expensive. The breakfast has improved a lot this yr and is plentiful
First room allocated was much too small. Asked in morning for a larger room if possible as we were staying for 5 nights. No trouble at all. Much larger room with wardrobe etc. Very warm. Good breakfast. Would return any time.Rooms: 4/5
It is what it is!!! Fine for what I needed it for, which was really a bed to sleep in. Initial decor on entrance good, a little shabby behind closed doors. However, the staff were brilliant and for the price, I wasn't going to complain. The room I had, had the road outside so a bit noisy.Rooms: 3/5

Due to lack of sleep and back pain. Despite raising issues with the staff and being promised a refurbished room management did not allow it. They did however put an extra sheet on the mattress to cover the protruding spring. I was extremely disappointed with this hotel I will not return and will always recommend people to steer clear. Rooms: Stank of old people home The bathroom and towels were filthy Safety: The springs from the mattress were visibly protruding Noteworthy details: Stay clear of this hotel!!
I visited the Hotel for a reunion, the staff were excellent and ensured that all the older guests were looked after with exceptional care, the staff in general were excellent and nothing too much bother. I found that the first room I had was just too high to get to, being afraid of heights but the reception soon adjusted this and moved my room to a more appropriate place. On reading the current reviews from below I was near a taxi rank but could only hear this if I had the window open, and yes Derby was playing football at home and still nothing, I was surprised to hear that little infact found it really relaxing. Roll on next year I'm back, no debate but booked in already!!
